:drool: FMA was the first anime I ever watched. It remains my favorite for sentimental reasons. Also because Mustang is drop-dead-gorgeous :lol:

I honestly have never watched it but I read the manga the whole way through and absolutely adored the characters and story =D  Love Mustang but Havoc will always be my fave =)

I read the manga as well. I have most of it in paperback form on my bookshelf. Just a few more to get and I'll have the whole thing. :love: I really love the original anime, which is what got me into the manga, but the story in the manga is definitely way better. :nod:

Yeah, the story suffered in the original anime because the author refused to tell them the proper ending :lol:  But it's kind of cool how there are two variations of the story now in existence =)

Yeah. I do think they did a really good job with the ending of the original anime. That last episode had me haunted for weeks. :lol: And the follow up movie was pretty dang good.
