It's only recently occurred to me that my previous comment 
was probably taken as something homophobic. Yeesh. Sorry about that. I only meant that this Lyra meme was so much win because it so curtly flips most fans' expectations of her right on their heads and does so in a humorous way. It's in the same vein as Jesus saying to Westboro, "OMG you guys! I said I hated figs!"—it's so much win because it so deftly defies our expectations of something and does so in a funny way. Again, sorry for any misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to attack anybody :/
