Why don't you use the band's actual logos?
Sometimes I do, but most of the time the logo doesn't fit the illustration, the design, etc. In other cases the band may have so many different logos that maybe doing something different makes more sense.
In the case of this series, the only logo I kept was Machine Head's for the "Plague" poster: [link]
