Ace figure comparisons

Just a simple photo comparing the Gensen figure Ace (that I designed) with the 3D printed Ace model, straight from the game (but modified and painted by me). My painting sucks, but I think I got Ace's colours closer than Gensen did oO just my painting isnt nearly as nice and smooth

I plan to have another shot at painting a slightly larger 3D printed Ace though...

Gleeman Vox called. He wants you to stop your counterfeiting and to lead the new Ace Hardlight figures line.

Hehe well, his one has Kung-fu grip and pointy hair that can poke a child's eye out, while mine comes with his gun and is stuck in this pose forevers =P

Well, your is made with something stronger than a Kung-fu grip : love. Meow :3

if you want a bit smoother painting you should try with airbrush, it's usually really smooth when it dries =3

I dont know where I can get airbrush systems for this kind of painting yet, but I am interested xD another reason the paintjob is a bit rough, is because the 3D printed material is already kinda rough. I had to apply several layers of paint to get it smoother.
Gensen figure definitely uses airbrushing on some of my Ace, I can see it up close on some parts :D

i remember seeing an airbrush set on ebay that uses acrylic colors I think it was for like $60 i think, another thing you could have done was sand paper it down just a bit to smooth it out a bit.

I cant sand down enamel paint, not this kind anyways D: but that sounds like a good set, I'll look into that at the right time. Thanks for the tips!
