Now here's something 'different'

Before you guys say anything, no - this wasn't drawn by me. It was drawn by Adam Archer (DA username ) as a commission I ordered

For those of you who aren't familiar with the Ratchet & Clank series; there was a 6 issue R&C Comic (which happens to be canon to the series) released last September, which finished in February this year. a-archer worked on the drawings for the comic panels
I really enjoyed the comic series (with issue 3 and 5 being my favourites), and not to mention; I liked the style quite a lot! Seeing all the different characters appear was cool too, including old and new (Sasha, Al, Talwyn, etc) but Ace didn't appear anywhere, besides a funny mention. But it didn't put me off, heh.

But of course, I had to get Ace in the commish, and I'm so glad I did! he came out real awesome in his style, and I can't wait to get the original in the mail. So I can get it framed. It looks great, even without the colours (he hasn't posted it to his DA though, heh). I was going to choose the DreadZone Ace design but I like my design a bit more 8D

I also asked him if I could colour it digitally for fun and he said yes. So... here it is!
I decided not to do any intense shading, because I didn't want to spoil his original drawing. I coloured underneath his pencil drawing carefully, and added a bit of light shading and a gradient/textured background. I didn't edit his drawing at all, besides darken it a bit to make it stand out with the colours.

And uhh yeah, that's all I can say for now. Hope you guys like! Nice to work on something again after so many hours at my job lately...
