Description
This piece is a still frame captured from a larger video project I created using Blender and DaVinci Resolve for my YouTube channel
While it exists as a single image, it’s really just one moment in a much longer visual journey—part of a continuous fly-through that drifts slowly through a sprawling, futuristic city.
The world itself is heavily inspired by the atmosphere of Blade Runner: dense architecture, layered lighting, and a sense of scale that feels both immersive and slightly overwhelming. I wanted the environment to feel alive without being chaotic—like a place that exists beyond the frame, continuing endlessly whether you’re watching or not.
Building this scene was as much about mood as it was about structure. In Blender, I focused on creating depth through repetition and variation—stacked buildings, glowing windows, and subtle environmental details that reward a closer look. Then, in DaVinci Resolve, I refined the tone and colour to push that cinematic, slightly surreal quality: deep shadows contrasted with neon highlights, giving the city a kind of quiet intensity.
The fly-through concept was important to me. Rather than presenting a static world, I wanted viewers to feel like they’re moving through it—almost as if they’re drifting, observing, or even lost within it. This still image captures one of those moments, but the full piece is about the motion, the transitions, and the gradual unfolding of the environment.
Ultimately, this project is part of a larger exploration on my channel—creating ambient worlds that feel transportive and immersive. Not just something to look at, but something to exist within.
Thank you so much for viewing my work and do have a look at the full video which I'm really proud of.
Exceptional scene. Love the vibe.
