Robe me by your Esteem
All so I may Cherish you more and more.

It begins with the void—consumed and numb.
Its grip tightens like a snake around the throat.
My jaw quivers and lips curl back
Trying to speak a timeless tongue
     Too broken for words.
Sight smolders
—Salty pools swell like rising tides.
Burn my eyes and I pinch them shut.
—The warmth spills and trickles down my cheeks and nose.
Shoulders shudder
  With each breath—
     Strength is drained from me.
The steeped gall of disbelief and forlorn hopes
  —Chokes me even more.
A blunt rhythm races in the temples
Carry on the ageless song —of Sorrow
     Resonates from fiber to core.
Pressure grows behind my eyes.
Force  them open
  To a blurred reality
  —sharpened with humanity.

True Gentleness
Gentleness is not weakness.
It is not frailty.
It is not false humility,
Delicate mannerisms,
Or saving face.
Gentleness is Strength!
It is virtue of speech and manner.
When careless lies and curses scatter
It stands like stone; rooted in its foundations.
Gentleness is Boldness!
It is not blind followings or idle tradition.
To be the stability of one’s beliefs
It is firmly set with experience and ardor.
Gentleness is Robust!
It is the ferocity of forgiveness.
When the world plots and whispers,
It breaks the bonds of vengeance.
Gentleness is Resolute!
It is the cornerstone of understanding
To embrace of what is unknown.
It is a willingness to learn, accept, and respect.
Gentleness is not a ‘woman’s‘ virtue.
It is not feebleness of mind or body
To be lauded over for unseemly stillness.
It is not a lack of force or incompetence.
Gentleness shames the mean.
Gentleness disdains the vulgar.
Gentleness disarms the unjust.
With the authority of simple truths and

Defining Freedom
When one is offered the question ‘What is Freedom?’ which of these options are you likely to choose?
1. The ability to do as one pleases.
2. The ability to decide one’s direction, purpose, or abilities that have or have not been provided.
3. The ability to use one’s means, to justify a purpose or desire.
4. The ability to direct and support one’s purpose with means or passion already in place.
Doing as one pleases can infringe on the freedom of others. This applied definition either causes harm to one’s self or to others that is detrimental to personal, mental, spiritual or social growth. Such a definition of freedom is capricious, unreliable and most dangerously unpredictable with lack of direction of action or thought. Thus this option causes more harm than a benefit to the individual or their neighbors it cannot be true freedom
The ability to decide one’s direction, purpose, abilities or desires that have or have not been provided is equally

For Some Reason I Think Home
He staggered to the ruins, soaked with sweat. Blood dripped into his eyes in crimson rivulets. It was over. He was home now. Fatigue and nostalgia meshed together in a haze of memories and reality. The thick clouds above him blurring and molding together into a dreary gray sky matched his mood.
How long had it been since he had seen this place: Weeks, months, ages? He ran his hand over the remains of a house wall. The craggy mortar and soft moss beneath his fingers seemed strange. Had this been his home? The toppled chimney behind him was growing a wild garden in the fireplace. Was this really home?
It had been a long journey, there and back again. He had fought and even loved it at times. He had the scars to prove it. He squeezed his arm tighter. More blood seeped through his fingers. The last battle that plagued him was finally over. Disapproval was the only thing that had spared him. The dense air popped his ears, muffling everything but his thoughts.
He ground his teeth at the memo

Should I speak among the stars
Should I speak among the stars;
What tales would I find?
Assemble dust and gas
A nimbus molded into light.
Should I snare the sky;
What mysteries unfold?
Mounds of air and water
Create tranquility and force.
Should I strip the mountain to the roots;
What secrets would I find?
Ancient headstones rest above
The molten pool below.
Should I tread into the mind;
What discoveries await?
Thoughts that form worlds
And design to weave our Fate.
Should I fathom all my faith;
What hope shall I obtain?
Through Narrow paths and lofty heights
To where Perfection lies.
The music of the spheres
Dwells with Knowledge and Fear.

Naming Your Novel
*This is also helpful for other types of fiction and possibly even non-fiction.*
Note: How careful you have to be naming your novel depends heavily on if you are planning to sell it, and how you are planning to sell it. If you are an unknown who is self-publishing and you want a lot of people to read and buy your novel, you need to do extensive research on the market. This article only covers a few tips, and I am in no way a publishing expert. But, even if you don't plan on going mass-commercial, that doesn't mean you shouldn't spend some time deciding on a name for your labor of love and I hope this article provides some useful ideas.
Organized Brainstorming
Consider important items--does your story revolve around a magical staff, sword or pendant? For example: "The Staff of Alema," "The Sapphire Sword," or "The Destiny Pendant." (I know these are cheesy but you get the idea).
Consider who your protagonist IS--is it an assassin, a magician, an apprentice

How to love a girl who can't love herself.
When she cries herself to sleep
six out of seven nights a week you must
say nothing. You must simply take
her in your arms and kiss her gaunt,
pale cheeks and wait for her to
slumber at the sound of your heart.
On the days where she wishes she
were part of the stars, tell her
no. Tell her that there are too many
lights in the sky and that just one
would be forgotten the moment you looked
away from it. Tell her that she is perfect
the way she is: completely human.
Don't let her think about the scars
that no one but her can see. If she
says "I think I'm broken" smile like you
know a secret and say, "No, you're mending."
But do not be the one to fix her - no, she

Been a while since I last updated things here. Well for anyone who still looks through my stuff. I've been busy with all sorts of life. Between getting hitched and getting the house in order to having a kid. Healthy,                              Lovely  angry, baby girl, born in Aug. after 24hrs of labor.  I was told I was quite amusing and violent to everyone in the room, depending on what I was saying or doing at the time and what drugs I was on.

Also rediscovered my fondness for calligraphy. I find it relaxing and enjoyably, quite zen so I will be posting more work of that nature for now along with any requests (within reason).

Hoping life has been treating you well.

I do a little bit of anything that interests me.
I love National Geographic, especially articles on culture, religions, and animals.
Haiku are my main art medium, followed closely by Photoshop. I dabble in other poetic forms and novella writing
I love when people critique/comment, even if they don't like it.

I despise chtspk, and misspellings. Typos are the exception.
I think manga is becoming cliche.
I consider most free meter/verse to be a lazy excuse of 'poetry'.
I do not care for people who are willingly ignorant.
People who randomly favorite things without commenting drive me batty.

I am often called 'Ice Queen' since I get goosebumps at 65F.
I do not hold good conversations very long.
