Looking forward to see the finished animation! The feet is definitely the best part of a TF :meow: Excellent work.

Do werewolves have Dew Claws on their hind legs?

That's a question that has floated around the back of my brain for years. This animation is right inline with many werewolf movies and art sequences that show the whole foot extending. If there was a Dew Claw then wouldn't the big toe be shifting backwards and up the leg as the foot stretches?

That aside, the test looks good. The thinning of the heal as the foot grows is a nice touch.

Yes, WestX, werewolves do have dew claws; and yes, her big toes should be shifting back to form dew claws, along with much bone cracking. This is only a test animation.

The only thing to factor is that Dew Claws are not toes (nor are they considered to be phalanges), and if they would, then the ball of the toe would be carried over to the foot itself, becoming some kind of monkey formation.
Canines, much like many other animals, are meant to be 4-toed because of the nimble momentum they carry when they run on their paws. So anatomically speaking, the toes would be situated where they're at & not become alienated to their intended position.
That, and most Wolves, or Canine species, do not have dew claws, which puts the majority of that theory into question... ;)

Thanks D13! Wolves do not have dewclaws.
Wolves have four toes. I think my werewolves may keep their five toes.

Correctamundo! :iconmacewinduplz:

Werewolves are basically a combination of both Human & Wolf, and there are many traits that carry over to both forms, but still keeping the overall sentiments of either species, at least due to the prime base of the host; the Human. 8-)

Oh yeah, I'm likely to be pushing it here, but during the Transformational process, the entire body is reshaped to fit the general consensus of the Lupin form in which every single bone/muscle cell is alternating in order to fit that specific base of the Wolf. If this is meant to be true, then...

...What happens to the Coccyx? ;)

Nothing. The current form that I'm playing with, although quadrupedal, does not have a tail. At best, a very short one.

hmmm... Shame. Tails are now becoming a very prominent feature on the Werewolf aspect, as well as becoming highly useful in mobility & agility as the tail would catch/absorb it's own gravity & help it's own inertia, much as a kite would. That, and it would also look more comprehensive during a TF sequence, rather than just the typical Paw n' Face morphs that you see on the SyFy Channel. ;p
Why ditch the tail in the first place? :?

To me having no tail gives a clearer distinction between a werewolf and a true wolf.

Looks very good so far. Definitely puts most of those other CG TF's on TV to utter shame. ;)

Would love to get my hands on the morphs you're using for this... this is Daz Studio or Poser right?

Poser. The morphs are custom. You can use ZBrush or Blender (it's free).

i agree with ovidius. some people can't get the type of morphs at your level. couldn't you at least make these public? it'll help a ton of people out because it looks so realistic!

I tried making custom feet morphs before for Vicky 2; didn't work out so great. PM me if you feel like sharing these; would love to try them out :)
