    Spurned by a spirit of curiosity and adventure, this girl is very bold, always looking to find ways to get involved in an adventure, even if it was just going to the big sundial within the city's square. Dawn is also quick on her feet, which helps her very much when exploring around. She is able to think up solutions quickly and keep calm under pressure despite having many advantages against her, which came in handy whenever she felt like going out exploring. At the same time, however, this curiosity has landed her in a few situations as well. Despite being able to think and react quickly to a situation, the girl has a habit of being a little klutzy (more or less from her father), often to her downfall. The fact that the girl is both reckless and stubborn doesn't help with - once her mind is set on something, she refuses to give up. In addition, being - quick thinker doesn't always mean being a rationaliser - Dawn has, on more than one occasion, not thought out things thoroughly enough and gotten a few nicks on the way to prove it. All in all though, the Kirlia can be sweetheart, more or less making these rash decisions because of a need to keep others safe and fix whatever mess she's gotten herself and others into before anyone gets hurt.

:new: On more than one occasion Dawn has shown herself to be painfully naïve, several references and innuendos going above and beyond what she knows. In addition, Dawn has shown a rather somber side at times, one that had to deal with - and still does deal with - a lack of confidence in herself and in her abilities. Her past has left her with feelings of worthlessness, and she tends to become quite down about it, often remaining glum for a number of days. She tends to repress these feelings, however, and currently only one person, including her family, know of this problem.  



Green-orb History: 

        Dawn was born on July the 4th to parents Luna and Mark Aleppo, coincidentally the date of their marriage. Somehow, her parents had a feeling that this coincidence had meant something, and although unrelated, it somewhat had been. Dawn had been born with a handicap to her Psychic skills. Her father, a strong and skilled Gallade, had been unable to use any of his psychic abilities despite being part Psychic and using the move Psycho-Cut well. The only exceptions to this were when either of them would experience extreme emotion - on the day Dawn was born, the Gallade had been so happy that he had broken a monitor on accident! 

        When Dawn was old enough to understand that she would not be able to use any psychic abilities outside of whatever power she put into her moves, the Ralts did not handle it well. Although only 8, because of her random outbursts of anger from the news, her Psychic powers would go out of hand, causing damage to anything(but thankfully not anyone) nearby. At first her parents didn't know what to do aside from trying to comfort their daughter and preventing her from wrecking the house. Then came the day when Dawn woke up to a pleasant, but somber melody. It had been awhile since her father had been able to play any instrument within the house, as he had to take care of the recording studio they owned, as well as any shows/gigs that were booked.

        With things finally calming down and the parents both receiving help from either in-laws or their own parents, Mark had finally been able to be home just a little more, and had decided while it was peaceful in the house to play their piano. Intrigued, Dawn quietly tip-toed halfway down the stairs(or so she thought), sitting on one the steps and watching her father play through the banister bars. When he'd finished, he smiled to himself, turned around and looked Dawn straight in the eye, asking if she wanted to learn. Since then, Dawn found a remedy to quell the anger that sat in her heart, and soon would accompany her parents after school, excited to see people either being taught at the actual recording rooms in her parents' studio, or see other well-known musicians using the studios for their own purposes. Dawn began to take lessons with her parents, and soon became adept in playing a number of instruments.    

        As Dawn got older, she would often go off on her own and explore the small city of Anistar, as well as the nearby Route 18. Refusing to accept the fact that she was a psychic type that couldn't really do psychic things, Dawn would regularly train with some of the friends that she had in school once school had let out. Though there were some that would tease the girl in school, there were others she befriended that were intrigued by her inability to use Psychic powers/moves as well as other Psychic types could; it was through these friends that Dawn had finally been able to channel any psychic abilities she had into whatever moves she could. 

        Then came the day Dawn had gone on another venture, similar to what she always did. Though she could now channel bits of psychic power into different moves, she still didn't have a firm grasp on them. However, different to the other days she'd trained, she had delved a little deeper into the nearby woods to train. The result of her decision became disastrous- a slightly powered up Confusion attack she had fired off had hit a Beedrill hidden in a tree nearby, causing it and two of its friends to chase after her. Dawn panicked and ran, eventually coming to the huge drop off that led into the rushing aquamine waters of the river below. 

        With no choice left, Dawn turned around to face the beedrill, almost certain she was either going to be doomed either way- until she remembered the Hyper Voice move her Uncle had shown her. Taking in a deep breath, the Ralts began to yell, and as she did her frame began to glow. She had evolved into a Kirlia, which had elated her enough to blast a strong enough Confusion to finally drive the beedrill away. When the newly-evolved Dawn had come home, now a Kirlia to the surprise of her parents, the three as a family went together that evening to the Anistar Sundial. Dawn felt at peace amidst the warm glow of the sunset, which had hit the large pink diamond, causing it to refract and set off all sorts of brilliant colours on its pink mirrors. 

        While she loved coming to the Sundial because of the large diamond figure and the sundial's rings in front of it, she also knew that when they were at the Sundial, it was to have a calm but deep talk, whether it be from her or from her parents. She explained what happened, fearing that her parents might get upset, but soon found out that it hadn't been the reason. Her parents sat her down and handed her a pamphlet with a doublade on it for a boarding school in Hearthome City. They then explained(after a number of probing questions from the Kirlia) that her great-grandfather had lived in Hearthome, that he had become acquainted with a Ninetales there, and that some time after he had lost his ability to use any Psychic powers thanks to a compromise he'd made with said Ninetales. They then told her that despite this curse, the reason why she was still stronger than her grandfather, uncles, or even her own father was because the curse that was originally intended for the family had been shortened to the first few generations and would gradually grow weaker in time and as she aged. 

        In the end she was told that it ultimately was up to her to make the decision to go to school there, and that they were not forcing her, but if she was looking for answers as to why her Psychic abilities weren't like her mother's/mother's side of the family, that it was a good place to start looking for answers. Dawn immediately and eagerly took the offer. She knew she needed to apply to a high school, and at the same time she wanted to desperately find the answer to why both she and her father, as well as all those in her father's line, were cursed in the first place with either the inability or the extreme handicap to use their psychic powers. Supporting her decision, Dawn's parents agreed to let her go. Without a moment's hesitation, the girl packed her belongings, said her goodbyes, and boarded the plane, staring at the pamphlet and photo as the plane took off to Hearthome City.

:new: Post Entrance: Since entering Mortiel, Dawn has been through a number of experiences, and a number of testing times on the girl's psyche. Despite a rocky and rather chilling start to her school year, the Kirlia grew to create friends, begin a romantic relationship, and experience some of the school's "magic". In addition, Dawn began to get nightmares shortly after entering the school, followed by a life-altering meeting with the Ninetales she and her family talked about; Kai-Jardine Martel. She remembered of her family's curse, but at the time it was unclear as to how the girl was going to fix things, and so Dawn kept it hidden from the young Ninetales, and spent whatever time she had free from studying and associating to look up everything she could about her situation. It wasn't, however, until the events of April when the school underwent a special, month-long assignment for double battles did things change for her. The jolly side of her that everyone knew was soon replaced with an unusual melancholic and much more serious side, separating herself from friends, her boyfriend, and even keeping silent with her family. It was obvious that something was wrong with the Kirlia, but instead of talking about it she decided to keep quiet about it. Meeting Kai in the park one day, she later finally explained to him the family's curse, why her psychic acted weird around him, and, to a degree that was limited due to a limited knowledge, explained what needed to be done to fix it. Between talking out the situation with him and with a certain Delphox friend of hers, the girl regained enough confidence, and despite some setbacks and relapses, overall went back to her normal positive self.

Come May, the school had managed to find an underground system, and aided them in exploring the labyrinth, and while it seemed like a simple and fun assignment, soon mysterious slabs with ancient writing on them were unearthed by several of the students, containing a prophecy similar to the events that were about to unfold - a meteor warning was soon given to the residents of Hearthome, and though the space rock and shockwaves sent out from impact did not seriously harm anyone, it was enough to cause some minor infrastructural damage to Hearthome City, causing the Kirlia to run into town only a few days after to make sure Kai, who was now a good friend, wasn't hurt. While in the city, the duo were attacked by a robber who was looking to take advantage of the wreckage that occurred. Without a thought, Dawn jumped in front of Kai to defend the ninetales as the robber unleashed a strong shadow claw. It was a critical hit, and one that left Dawn unconscious and severely injured. Unknown to all three however, Dawn's act had been the one thing her relative had failed to do all those decades ago - show an act of selflessness, a form of kindness and love to where one would be willing to put their life at risk for another. An energy soared through her, causing her to evolve and regain full usage of her psychic abilities. Dawn's first year at St. Mortiel had been a wild ride for her, but despite going through several situations and coming through them stronger, there still happens to be one problem left that she seems unable to break - ever since a mysterious new evolution, something like mega evolution, but not quite like it, she's suffered a return of feelings of inadequacy and of worthlessness, and though she's continuing to fight it, she fears a day when it may soon start to become a regular thing for her.

Green-orb Extras/Fun Facts:

   
    - While she is able to use her psychic abilities, she still shows a bit of discomfort talking about her time being unable to use them, as they remind of how useless she felt, and how she still feels that way. 

    - Dawn needs to wear glasses (near-sighted; can't see things far away), but because she doesn't like to use glasses as often she wears contacts a lot. She doesn't like how glasses look on her, and she likes the different colour choices that come with contacts.

    - Her nickname of "fire eyes" stems from one her contact designs. They are fire coloured, meaning it has red, orange, and yellow. (Contacts like these do exist; examples are here and here.)

    - Dawn knows how to play a number of instruments thanks to her parents, both of whom are well-renowned Kalosian musicians. Some examples/the main ones are Piano, Sax, Guitar, Drums, and Voice(yes, voice is counted as an instrument among some musicians). She's also gotten fairly decent/pretty good at Violin.

    - Dawn's parents both are retired, but famed Kalosian Musicians; both now work together as record label producers, often hiring and signing aspiring musicians onto labels and record deals. While the main branch is in Anistar, they co-own a very small music chain store as well, owning a store in Anistar, Couriway, and Undella.

    - Growing up in Kalos, Dawn speaks French fairly fluently. It slips out from time to time, but really comes out when she's upset, angry, or scared.

    - Dawn is super bubbly/optimistic, and very rarely gets angry or upset. She also has a stubborn streak/adamant attitude when it comes to certain situations. 

    - Likes to sit in trees/hang upside down from trees a lot.

    - Defence has increased, though very slightly. Her HP has gone down as well.  

    - Shadow Sneak is one of her favourite moves, she used it a lot to get around the house unnoticed and/or scare/startle friends and parents.

    - Again, because she grew up in Kalos, this girl has a really good fashion sense, dressing up in cute, chic, and stylish clothing. 

    - She has since met the Pen Pal she wrote to regularly while growing up, and both have shown to share mutual feelings for each other. They are now dating, and the Pen pal is none other than Verith Viridian.

    - Really likes to cook and bake. She takes after her father in that. 

    - She also likes playing pool cuz of him, and is really good at it. 

    - Her fear of feral Beedrills is still strong, the Gardevoir becoming unusually nervous around one, and often abandoning all common sense she has due to sheer panic. Other bugs are fine, however. 

    - In place of her two horns, her ear spikes are now the ones to react to something she hears/sees.  

    - She feels that despite having full control of her psychic powers, that something will happen again or that she'll lose control and once again show herself worthless. It is a fear she strongly fights, and she gets very upset by it very quickly if brought up.

    - When she's intensely focused on studying, or is very depressed, she has and will go without eating for days at a time.

    - She has several scars on her figure; one on her ear spike, one on her lower right arm (near the elbow), one on the part of her skirt closest to the centre, and a very scary looking one on her chest. The ones on her ear spike, arm, and skirt were from her time in the underground and an injury from falling while 3 feet up in the air. The one on her chest is from the attack, and she is careful to not wear any low/v-neck clothing since it can and will show. She's a bit less timid of it now since no one's asked how she got it when she has exposed it. If asked about it however, she will become visibly nervous. 

    - Her Gardevoir skirt is adjustable thanks to her psychic. This follows a headcanon I have where if they're strong enough to make a black hole, they're strong enough to adjust their lengths. This also comes from seeing so many skirt variations for Gardevoir. 

    - She's received a couple of changes since evolving; notably ear piercings and mint-green highlights in her hair.

    - The necklace she is wearing is a star piece Verith got her for Valentines' Day. The only time she does not wear it is when she showers and when she battles and/or practices cheerleading. Her earrings are also made of star pieces as well, though not to the same concentration as the necklace.

    - Speaking of stars, she's obsessed with anything and everything related to space, and owns more than one galaxy/star themed item, including clothing.

    - :new: In addition to twitching as an extra (and sometimes involuntary) reaction, her ear spikes flick downwards (much like how a dog's ears flick down) when sad, nervous, or angry.

    - :new: Her most used move is Heal Pulse, but her strongest is Hidden Power Dragon.

    - :new: Her psychic is very strong now, and she has no trouble at all in using it alone. She is very strong and has a great deal of potential, yet only recently realised this when she tapped into her Hidden Power. Any abilities to use it in conjunction with other moves she still has trouble with. 

    - :new: Though not depicted, she received a bracelet from Kai for her birthday, and she wears it fairly regularly as well.
