[Starkins] Into the Fog: The Final Push
It was one of Andromeda’s many rests, as she laid beneath the open sky to stare at what stars she could get. The Lantern Bearer, Faven, was at her side, completely drifting off into dreamland as they breathed out a sigh of relief. Andromeda couldn’t help but smile, their companion having earned every bit of rest they could get. She could feel the weight of the expedition herself, so thinking about living near this fog constantly was something she couldn’t fathom. This peaceful rest wasn’t meant to last, however… as someone broke into the camp with new reports, a wide smile on their face, “Guys guys-! Wake up! I have big news!” Faven was startled out of sleep, a hiss leaving their snout as their eyes glowed in an intimidating way. Andromeda had to sooth them with a paw to the side and a few taps, before they went to join the gathering crowd.

Having managed to set up a camp, everyone was more on edge than ever, despite it being time to rest and recuperate. Both Faven and Andromeda were up when the first sloth had made its presence known, all at once sending the heads like Jun into a semi-panic, or surprise by its appearance. Were the ‘sloths’ as they were called really not meant to present themselves this far into the fog? Just how far had they travelled in all this time? …Anything was hard to tell in this dense mist, time being not much different. Faven didn’t care much for it, and Andromeda had some difficulty telling when everything got darker or lighter in this area.
And so it came to it being easy to say… finding rest was anything but easy. Andromeda had managed about an hour… but her mind wouldn’t stay calm for any more amount of time. Choosing to keep watch instead, she went and traded places with a Starkin at a post towards the outer edge of the camp, looking towards the horizon, just out of the fire’s light. That
