[Arkait] DotN Lost Egg 3.4: Wild Goose Chase? Run!
Traveling on the ice of the lake… was far from easy, for either Denewulf or Lunaris. The slippery surface made it hard to stand steadily… so both would stick to the snowy shore, when they could. If something caught their attention out on the ice, both would venture cautiously, testing the surface of the ice, before continuing… only to not find what they were hoping for. A strange shard of ice, or a fish in the water… but never the egg. Both were starting to get a bit tired… and cold, as the night passed on, but something unexpected cut through the air, catching their attention. It wasn’t a soft sound, like a branch breaking, nor the rustling of bushes that had long lost their leaves or green nature. No, this one was a sharp, shrill sound of a beast that many had grown to fear. …One sharp and poignant… “HONK!”
Startled by the unexpected sound passing through the air, Lunaris and Denewulf were quick to look around, Lunaris almost slipping on the ice again, if not for the support of her

Lunaris and Denewulf walked through the southern camp of the Kashi’Kaira, both being silent for a good moment, as well as extremely worried. The mission that the Kashi’Kaira called Harlequin had given them was certainly not a light one, and time was of the essence. Lunaris wanted to go out searching right away for clues or… a sign of the egg’s path, her wings itching to take her to the skies so she could have an overview of everything. The only issue was; doing so without an idea of where to look fully… wouldn’t be very efficient, as if searching for a needle in a haystack. The only clue currently known was the certain direction that the returning Kai parent had been returning from. Denewulf looked towards her for a moment, his ears perking before falling as he felt Lunaris’ distress, torn between two tasks that had to be done. He understood, things being uncertain for him as well… but he understood they were two beings that worked well in tandem.

[Arkait] Event Part 3: Bringing Supplies
The return with the survivor had been… surprising, to say the least, neither Denewulf nor Lunaris having expected to encounter one of them that day at all. Thankfully, they had managed to return to base with the stranger easily enough, and other search party members gathered about to help the survivor recover and warm up. Lunaris stared at the ground as the memory repeated itself once or twice in her mind, until Denewulf nudged her side a bit with his snout. This helped her snap back to the current time, where the crowd of Baiyun was active and aware, passing around the two carefully.
“Oh! What, whe-” A pause, as Lunaris became sheepish, “Right… we need to get the new supplies down on our backs and the sled.” Denewulf sighed and shook his head, but shifted a bit forwards so the sled was available for Lunaris to get back to work. The harness around his chest was solid but not painful, just sturdy to a point he was sure it wouldn’t snap if he ran forth. The duo had been sent to Baiyun

[Arkait] Event Part 2: Tracks in the Cold
The sea had been freezing, the cold having collected a large layer of snow over both Denewulf and Lunaris. The pair had to set up a small shelter for a moment out on the shores of Broken Heart Bay, collecting any wood after making a snow shelter to warm up the inside with a small fire. …There had been no signs of others out in the distant waters, where glaciers were sparse. To be fair, there were no places for traces to be left out there… finding the Ancient Kaiyume would have been done by sheer visual input. Denewulf and Lunaris sat in silence for a while as the fire returned warmth to their limbs… until she spoke up, “...We’ll probably have more hopes of finding traces of them out on the shores and glaciers… right?” Denewulf looked up to her quietly, red eyes reflecting the crackling light… before releasing a soft snort from his snout and nodding. Whether that was meant to just reassure Lunaris, or he actually thought so, she wasn’t sure, but she appreciated the support from her
