I know I don't subscribe to everybody's journal that I follow, so this is for the peeps out there that don't see my journal updates. I've been posting quite a few videos over on my Youtube channel to help up and coming colorists take their work to the next level. Right now I'm doing a series of videos showing different coloring techniques. Please check it out, if you have the chance, and let me know what topics you would like to see me tackle or if you have any questions. Thanks for the support!

Hi Lummage.
I'm really happy that you put out contend again. I'm a fan for years of your videos on coloring. I wonder if you would do a critique video of some of my work. I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks

Though I don't use photoshop...your suggestions has been helpful and has taught me a lot.  The software I use works a little differently from photoshop but once I figure out how to achieve similar effects well worth watching...your youtube tutorials.

Randomy stubled upon you whilst looking up how to do fire effects. That was 2-3 weeks ago, and I have since watched nearly all your videos. Until i found them i had been muddling my through on my own just kinda guessing at what i was doing. You've really helped me learn more about how Photoshop works. Now all i need to do is get more time to practice! Thanks for the free knowledge! Super appreciated!

sweet!  I'm just starting to color comics (my own and for a friend) and really could use the tips  I've been following your more advanced tips.  But the beginner stuff will be good for me to go through.  Thanks so much!!!

No problem.
I just posted the first video of a new beginner series today. We start with the very very basics and build from there, adding new skills each week.

I love your tutorials. I've watched three of them tonight so far and I've seen a couple in the past. I'm definitely going to be watching the entire series as it gives a lot of good info.

I liked your paint over video too - though I knew a lot of what you covered it's always good to get a refresher. Now the next time someone asks me about color holds I know exactly the video to link them to.

Thanks so much for taking the time to teach others! That's awesome! :glomp: :w00t:

Hey I watched your video regarding the airbrush and lasso coloring technique on the Hulk. You make it look really easy but when I tried it, I'm really struggling to imitate the same effect. I know it takes a lot of practice but it would be awesome if you can make another video delving deeper into the technique, especially for noobs like myself. Great art btw.

You have to remember that when you're watching me do that lasso and airbrush technique, I've got close to 20 years of practice doing it. That's why it looks easy. When I first started up with Photoshop, my work didn't look anything close to what it does today. It's not an overnight thing, and does take years and years of practice.
Although my Youtube channel is geared more towards advanced level colorists, I do have a series planned out for beginners that will help with practicing techniques such as blending colors and the lasso tool. I have a couple other videos planned out first, then I'll be able to get to those. Thanks!

I appreciate it, are you able to share what those videos you are working on before the beginning videos? I know you're probably really busy but do you have a time frame for your beginning videos? Thanks

No problem. I have a two part tutorial for coloring water and liquid effects that are coming up. Next up is a tutorial I've been wanting to get to about composition. After that, I can start the beginner excercise stuff. So that should be up in about 3-4 weeks. Hopefully.
