Hello viewer, thank you for stumbling onto my deviantart page.
My name is Rita and I'm 16
My occupation - Student, yet to attend sixth form after my summer vacation.
I have only one sibling, plus two loving parents; I'm fortune to have them by my side although their earlier lives weren't as privileged as mine.
My brother is the closest person I know, but at the same time he can become an enemy through this outbursts, not sure if I can stop it completely though. I hope one day he learns from this experience.
I'm Lebanese by blood, but British as first nature! (my citizenship)
My hobbies include:
- Reading detailed novels of complex storylines, many of the books I've read have had thorough research and many acknowledgements. I can see how hard it is to release a novel based on history and the real world, accuracy is just as important!
My current novel is historical and fictional, called Lionheart. Based from 1189 onwards with the story, Richard who has been crowned king has chosen to 'take the cross' - He chooses to travel to Jerusalem in order to reclaim the holy land, however with no heir in place, surely he'd be risking his life and throne?
I won't spoil the book further, so you can decide how he possibly overcame this: Feel free to comment your interests.
- Digital art/traditional art, my interest first sparked when I was a child and at the time I had been doodling, my drawings were HORRIBLE back then. I proclaimed in primary school that I would become an artist, I reluctantly declined seeing a classmate of mine laugh it off.
Now looking back I would never expect that to be back on this path again, the push was from choosing art as a GCSE subject since another subject I wanted to choose wasn't available. Totally glad I didn't pick the other and stuck with art, it has shaped me as a person and I've really improved from the experience it even made me try out digital art too.
For anyone who is lacking in confidence with their dreams, don't give up yet! If you can dream it, you can do it! Being an artist requires a few things: Time, patience, effort and choosing to improve using tutorials plus constructive criticism.
Take my word for it!
- Listening to music, main genre is pop but I'll listen to anything I find catchy!
Please feel free to recommend me some new songs.
- Singing, relating to music, my ambition first began (where I could remember) was with JLS, they used to be a band a few years back and I absolutely loved their music!
I remember receiving an mp3 player for my birthday, I had a fever at the time, and because I didn't know how to import music... I stuck it to the computer speaker and recorded a lot of their songs, plus silly recordings of myself.
After their break up, I kept switching between artists until I realised that I didn't have a specific favourite, a variety is much better than one artist on their own! I'm still singing to this day, despite my past dream of wanting to become a singer, being an artist has dominated it for me. Why? Anyone can become an artist the minute they begin drawing and making masterpieces, you don't need to be the excellent idolised artists we see a lot of the time.
Stay true to yourself and stick to an element you can develop clearly.
Thanks for reading, I hope to see you soon worthy traveller!
