Patreon Poll

Journal Entry: Mon Aug 7, 2017, 7:40 AM
I've been thinking about setting up a Patreon creator account to help with supporting my personal, non-commercial art.
I'm very interested in hearing your feedback about my work in general. Which projects are closest to you, which one (if any) you would like to see developed more?
It could very well be that things I find interesting/attractive are not that attractive to you.
And maybe some others that I don't take too seriously could be developed some more.
If you have any opinions - please vote in the poll I set up towards the top of the page.
If the poll is not good, is missing an option or you want to add something else - please, post a comment.
If you think this is a hopeless idea - I'd like to hear it too :)
Thanks a lot and I hope you're having good holidays, wherever you are ;)

Oakley's Vision Performance Lab

Journal Entry: Mon Jul 10, 2017, 1:02 PM
During my time as software engineer at Foundry (in R&D department) I was a technical lead on an experimental project for Oakley.
Due to the nature of R&D work the results usually take years to go public or, what's probably more likely, they don't get released at all.
So it's quite cool to see that just a few months after completing the project it can be viewed in public (although only in pilot mode at Oakley's headquarters in California).
Yazan Malkosh, former Head of Design at Foundry whom I was working on this job with, has visited Oakley's headquarters recently and wrote a review of what he saw on the stage.…

Auto Character Setup

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 30, 2017, 3:48 AM
Auto Character Setup is an extension (plugin) for Foundry MODO (digital content creation application) that I've been developing since 2012.
In general terms it's a set of tools to help with animating characters in MODO.
It covers both the process of preparing 3d model for animation and the animation itself.
There were 2 versions of the plugin released so far (in 2013 and 2015).
Recently, I've finished working on a new website for the product and I thought I would share this, in case anyone is interested in 3D character animation:

New website!

Journal Entry: Tue Apr 18, 2017, 11:02 AM

Finally, after quite a few years I'm very happy to announce that I have a personal website up again!
There should be a sensible amount of content on the website already but I definitely plan to add more.
Have a look/read if you are interested in my work!

I'm back - hopefully...

Journal Entry: Wed Mar 29, 2017, 3:38 AM
I've been out of the loop for a looong time. A LOT has happened during past few years but unfortunately my personal art was not one of them.
I spent 3 years writing software at Foundry, one of leading companies in the market of tools for digital artists (NUKE, MODO). I released two versions of my own auto rigging plugin for Foundry MODO.
I absolutely LOVE programming, it's like doing pure abstract art.
The exprience I gathered at Foundry is helping me immensely with pushing my work on the interactive version of Dogs of Zone - this one is finally, although rather slowly, coming to an end.
And I'm also a happy father to two little boys!
A few months ago I wasn't even sure I would get back to art at all but it looks like I should be able to do it in some capacity.
Keep your fingers crossed please :)

Another Dog of Zone is in the gallery. I keep experimenting with various 3d and 2d techniques so it turned out a bit different from the other ones. Enjoy!

Dog of Zone II tutorial on CGSociety

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 4, 2010, 4:11 PM

CGSociety has just published my tutorial on creating one of zone doggies. I've been asked from to time about the creative process of my digital works so now you can read about that. There's a lot of information and a handful of pictures to explain my workflow.…

"Dog of Zone II" won one of Expose 8 Master Awards and is published in a book as 2 page spread.
Book can be previewed and ordered here:…

It's been a while since I last updated my gallery. Here's a new one then - Dog of Zone III. A continuation of experiments with 3d. Enjoy!

I put new image in the gallery - "Postcard from The Zone VII". Enjoy!

I uploaded new image. It's actually the first personal thing I managed to finish this year. Yeah, it's a bit shame, but I'll do more towards end of year hopefully ;)

And there's one more interview with me, this time in the Blue Canvas magazine:…
  • Listening to: Anathema
The interview about me and my work that I mentioned in previous journal is available to read online now. So... have a good read ;)…

Some weeks back I've been asked to an interview for the IT'S ART magazine and a new issue containing my writing efforts and quite a few pictures is available now.
You can browse a flash preview on IT'S ART website and order a PDF copy (printed version is coming soon I think). Obviously there are more artists featured so have a look and maybe you can find it interesting.
For me, it is the first interview in which I talk about my artwork, both digital and traditional. I was interviewed about my animation work and programming projects before but not really about art. So if You're curious about my inspirations or techniques - it might be worth checking out ;)

Here's a link to flash IT'S ART magazine preview:…

And by the way - Happy New Year to everyone!

I lowered prices for 2 of my works that have largest number of wishes:

Lower prices will be kept until 1st January 2009 which makes it a month long offer. If you were planning to buy those prints at some point for yourself or as a gift - now is a good time :)
Both works were created in very high resolution to provide sharp details even when printed in largest size.

Traditional Artwork

Sun Oct 26, 2008, 5:58 AM
Acrylics paintings added to the gallery.

I've signed a contract with Advocate Gallery in London a few weeks ago and my traditional artwork is now on sale. Should you be in Wimbledon in London, feel free to have a look ;)

So I thought that since traditional paintings are a bigger part of my creative output now I could add a few to my deviant art gallery. Those paintings I added do not hang in the gallery though, chernobyl themed stuff is not probably the best choice if you try to reach wide audience ;)

I have managed to do a few new works and finish some others during past 2 weeks. I've been posting them one by one in recent days. I'd like to thank for the response, all comments, favs, etc. I do read and appreciate all of them so, keep them coming ;)

A few weeks ago I completed work on the animation spot for BBC Olympics coverage. It is being aired on tv in UK now and is available online as well. I was hired as matte painter and I painted a lot of backgrounds, see if you can guess which ones ;). Lots of work and lots of fun as well.
You can see the video on BBC website:…
  • Watching: just seen Dark Knight
  • Drinking: lots of water (after spicy dinner)
Geisha is extremely grateful for all views, comments and prints purchase!!! She seems to draw most attention in my gallery. Thanks for interest and support. Maybe one day I will actually be able to live from my personal art ;)
