If you have Google Earth, it's here: 34 49'26.74 S 138 28'59.84 E (put that into the "Fly To" box).

Actually, i just discovered Google Maps finally has a map of Adelaide :D So you can go here and see where it is: [link]

Oh, wow. I once had a sunrise shot with exactly the same name... It didn't look as good as this, though. ;) (I love the contrast in the clouds.)

who knew something like that would be so beautiful,

Amazing contrast

Love the wide view, [what kind of camera did you use to take such a large shot]

I especially love that single bird, it's in exactly the right position.

Amazing repetition at the bottom

Perfect Illumination of the clouds

[This should be a Print]

glad you like it :) I thought it was a print :O i'd better fix that!

It was taken with my 300D, standard 18-55mm lens. It was pretty far away though, so this was cropped from a much larger photo. That's probably what gives such an interesting effect with the perspective.

oic this reminds me of a pic of daytona beach I took like two weeks back, in florida. It was gonna be a great shot, w the colorful sunrise n everything. But it turns out that I was shooting on the wrong filmspeed and that only my zoom lens was on, and that my exposure time was way off, so0o the picture came out as crapily as possible X|

but im over it now 8)

i hate when that happens. Digital is suppose to fix problems like that, but i still sometimes get caught out. Just the other day i found this scene that looked really cool. A nice little piece of urban ruins, and i took a few shots. Then when i was going home i realised the camera was set on manual with a fairly slow shutter speed, so there was some blur in all my shots :(

Urgh, that sux X|
Just on sunday I saw like the GREATEST portrait/conceptual image of my entire life. I was at church and the lighting was like perfect, the morning sunrise was shining directly through the stained glass windows, and this little gir savannah was playing the tamb. Her hair was like glowing in different colors from the window, and I got ready to snap the shot, and realized that I didnt have anymore film >X{

that the sky really was on fire. lovely goldish
tone. the people at the bay on the bottom of
the picture makes the sky so overwhelming!

may the dead rest in peace.

Yes, i like the people at the bottom most. WIthout them it's just another sunset photo really. But with them, it shows the scale of nature and how small we really are. Thanks for the feedback!

Excellent shot.

As everyone, I'll tell you that the people at the bottom of the picture really had to it. I will also add that: this smoke that made this sunset beautiful also killed height persons... somehow, I see this as an homage.

Great one.

You are very welcome it was my pleasure to comment! I mourn for all those who lost their lives in the fires that made this pic possible. I feel honored to pay homage to those who lost their life. Thank you for taking the time to reply, as I know how many comments you get and I have trouble keeping up, and I don't get even close to half the comments you do. I did not expect a reply! I feel honered to get a reply to reply to from you, it reminds me of rubberman (how I found you) I am so amazed that either of you two,. who are so talented and popular, find the time to reply to all the comments you get and that you took the time to reply to lil ol me. :blushes: hug::blowkiss::Wave:

No problem :) I always try to reply to comments that have something to say. I usually don't reply to things with one or two words. But i don't get a huge ammount of comments. After i submit something, i might get about 30 or 40 or more comments, but usually i get about 20 or so. So it doesn't take too long to get through them :)
