Robert's Journal: OCT Entry

It was a cloudy afternoon in the alleyway. I felt very exhausted. Then again, I’m always exhausted, what with my drinking issues and whatnot? I need to sober up… anyways, I was standing next to a trash can, looked away, looked back and there was an envelope in it. No one put it there! I really hoped nobody was near me, due to this Coronavirus pandemic going rampant. Interested, I decided to read it (of course, due to the aforementioned virus, I shouldn’t have touched it). In it was a note from some “Lord Zachary Lover” dude, saying I was some kind of chosen one. Really? Just really? Me? A chosen one??!!! He chose to send his junk mail to a homeless bum like me?! That cliche is so overused, it’s like digging up a dead dog to take it for a walk, even though it’s already decomposing, and you dragged it for so long, you think shooting it will wake it up, despite the fact it was already euthanized with a Gatling gun! Too far? I’M DRUNK!!! What the [BLEEP] did you expect?!! Anyway, that

“All right, I’m ready.” Sir Hesiod spoke, finally prepared after much training. “Very well then. Let the games finally…” the crier paused for a moment. He then took a deep breath before finishing his sentence with one loud “BEGIN!!!!!” Sir Hesiod and his opponent, Lucia, fell through two holes that suddenly appeared beneath their feet. After they were completely engulfed, the holes shrunk in size, before disappearing.  Almost a second after the hole disappeared, Hesiod was already on solid ground. He looked down to see that the ground was made of sand, meaning he was in a desert. A desert he knew of in life, where his religious views were changed completely.  “Aegyptos,” he whispered to himself, “where I went with Abdul and uncovered secrets for a cult devoted to a forgotten deity.” He looked left and right. There was nothing but more sand dunes. Since he knew this tournament wasn’t going to win itself, he walked forward.  ——————————————————————————————————— It took a few hours to

Sir Hesiod's Invitation (OCT entry)

It was just another day in Purgatory. Sir Hesiod was repenting for his sins. Sins he committed in life, then suddenly regretted. Who would have thought he’d kill a Saracen man, only to become friends with his younger brother? He was pretty much doing what could be described as a combination of community service and Olympic-type workouts. It wasn’t long until an angel landed next to him. “Sir Hesiod?”, the angel spoke, “I have to speak with you.” “All right.” He replied. The middle-aged crusader left his spot, but not without telling the overseer that he’ll be absent for a little while. “This envelope,” the angel started, “is a delivery to you.” “Probably just another Satanic cult or a demonic abomination going rampant.” Hesiod commented. One thing that Hesiod would do as penance is to go to the mortal plane of existence, to protect mankind from any hellish invaders that seek to end the world, so this stuff wasn’t new to him. He has started getting used to it as part of his “daily
