Finally, after a long time off, I can upload some new pages of the Ghostbusters Ongoing series. This time is a special occasion, because this is the first issue I got to work with Doc Shaner, an artist that brings new style and new life to our favorite paranormal investigators. This proved to be a complicated page to color, specially when you have to make 7 different ghost all made of ice and still make it work.

Coloring those ghosts does seem like a hair pulling experience. How long did this page take you compared to others?

Actually a lot less than you think, after coloring Dan for so many years, this was actually a walk in the park. It didn't took too much time, it was more about how complicated it was to find the colors that would work together

Wow, it has been years hasn't it?

How so? Is it like you started with white, grey and/or blue for these ghosts then figure out which shade of each to use?

I started with a soft blue, a standard ice color, then added texture, and then different layers with different modes to change the colors and finally a couple of layers with multiply to make them darker. There's not a list of steps to take, it's more about trying and failing until something starts to work :)

Neat. Thanks for talking a bit about the process.
