The room was completely silence right after I told Luigi that he was my weakness. Luigi was still surprised about what I told him, but after about 3 minutes of silence, Luigi hugged me, then started to cry. I was surprised at his actions, but I hugged him back and started to rub his back.
"Why are you crying, little bro?" I asked while whispering and rubbing Luigi's back.
"I-I didn't know you c-cared so much about me," Luigi answered while crying.
"Luigi, of course I care a lot about you," I replied. "Why would you think that I don't care about you?"
"B-Because everyone saids that y-you would be better off if I-I didn't e-exist," Luigi answered while crying. "A-And all of the v-villains keep saying that I-I'm a j-joke."
Luigi cried a little harder while he was still hugging me. I felt really bad for Luigi, so I gently whispered to him saying that it was okay to let it all out. That made Luigi cry even more, but I continued to comfort him for a few minutes, until I spoke.
"Luigi, please look at me," I pleaded.
Luigi slowly shook his head, which worried me a little bit.
"Please look at me, Luigi," I pleaded again.
Luigi hesitated, but he moved his head, so that I could see him looking back at me.
"No matter what anyone tells you, I want you to know that you are the kindest, bravest, and the most amazing little brother in the world," I confessed. "If you didn't exist in this world, I would not want to live my life for another minute. I don't want a life without you Luigi, and nothing in the world will ever change that."
"Mario?" Luigi asked. "Do you really mean that?"
"Of course," I answered. "You mean everything to me, Luigi."
Luigi slowly stopped crying, then hugged me a little tighter.
"Thank you," Luigi said while smiling.
"No problem," I replied while wiping some tears off of Luigi's face. "And if anyone is still messing with you, I want you to tell me, so that I can teach them a lesson. Okay?"
"Okay," Luigi answered while smiling and slowly letting go of me.
"Good," I replied.
I stopped hugging Luigi and ruffled his head before I got off Luigi's bed. I then started to leave Luigi's room, but I stopped walking when I heard Luigi's voice.
"Mario?" Luigi asked.
I turned to see Luigi looking at me with a worried expression on his face.
"Yea?" I asked.
"Can you please spend the night here with me?" Luigi asked.
I smiled and walked towards Luigi, until I was right beside him.
"Yea," I answered. "I don't mind spending the night here, little bro."
I grabbed the chair from Luigi's desk and moved it, so that it was about 3 feet away from the bed. I sat down, then started to ruffled Luigi's head.
"You should probably get some sleep Luigi," I advised. "It's getting late."
"Okay," Luigi said while yawning. "Good night Mario."
"Good night Luigi," I said.
I watched Luigi while he slowly close his eyes and slowly fell asleep. About 10 minutes later, I couldn't help but close my eyes and drift off into a peaceful slumber.
As the Mario bros slept peacefully that night, the room was completely silence, except for the occasional snoring Mario would make.
But, neither of the brothers were aware that someone was watching them.
Outside of the house, a koopa slowly open the window in Luigi's bedroom, while feeling a little scared that Mario would suddenly wake up and see him. The koopa very quietly came in the room and quietly walked towards Luigi while slowly grabbing a needle out of his pocket.
"Enjoy your little nap, Luigi," the koopa thought. "Because this will be the longest nap you'll ever have."
The koopa put the needle into Luigi's neck and slowly injected the liquid, which made Luigi slowly drifted into a deeper sleep. When the koopa was finished, he pulled the needle out of Luigi's neck and quietly left the room with an evil smirk on his face.
The next morning. 7:00 a.m.
I suddenly woke up when I heard someone knocking on the door. I look to my right to see that Luigi was still sleeping. I quietly stood up and stretched a little bit before I started to gently shake Luigi.
"Hey Luigi," I said in a gentle voice. "Wake up, little bro."
Luigi didn't wake up, which worried me a little bit because he's usually a light sleeper.
"He's probably exhausted," I thought while leaving Luigi's room. "I honestly can't blame him, especially what happen last night."
I left Luigi's room, then started to walk to the front door. When I opened the front door, I was surprised to see Toad with a worried expression on his face.
"Toad?" I asked while yawning. "What are you doing here at 7 in the morning?"
"Bowser's taking over the Mushroom Kingdom," Toad answered.
