The concept based on traditional Russian fairytale poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila" written by Alexander Pushkin.
Cat Bayun - a character of Russian fairy tales, a huge cat-eater, possessing a magical voice. He lulls approaching travelers with his stories, those of them who don't have enough strength to withstand his magic and who are not prepared for battle with him, the cat mercilessly kills.

Pretty cool. The cat looks fairly wise and calm, yet also mysterious and not necessarily friendly.
