History:
Glanthus was born the child of two middle-ranked Auster guards who were gentle and attentive in raising him.
He was four, still very young, when Princess Cadhara's coronation went so awry under Shadow attack, and remembers being confused and scared hearing from his parens about all of the things the Shadows were doing in Auster. He'd never seen anyone before who wasn't an Austerian, so the presence of the crossbreeds and Scybillines that made up so much of the Shadow's army were all very new to him.
Despite his budding desire to go out and attempt to help the people he was sure were as scared by all of this as he, as well as any who might have been hurt, at his parent's pleading the young anomali kept his head down and stayed close to home during the Shadow occupation.
In 1996 and 1997, once the Shadows had left Auster and the royal family was back in power, he did finally convince his parents to let him go out and explore and help heal his country in the way he could, which helped the slow burn that was his interest in being a healer.
When he returned home, he signed up to try to train into a guard, feleing the desire to help continue to rebuild and grow Auster. He trained with them for about two years before he decided the atomosphere didn't quite... suit him, on top of already dealing with some mild sensitivy to bright lights thanks to his albinism. He stayed in long enough to see his younger cousin, Theo (NPC) join before bowing out and taking to traveling around Auster, meeting with and learning from other healers, staying with each one for a short while before traveling to the next.
He was delighted to be able to witness the royal wedding, however, and had a wonderful time celebrating with all his friends and family. He provided assistance how he could to those who were brave enough to go hunting for scales during the Formaris event, and then again in the winter without magic, though he found himself frustrated with his own abilities capped, and simply did the best he could to comfort those who were suffering.
He is more than well aware he has a long way to go in his growth as a healer, and is deeply looking forwards to the ways he will continue to hone and improve his magic in the upcoming years.
