~Character profile~

Set loose into an unknown sea, he survived after landing on a foreign beach after a few weeks in rough sea. (well he was lucky so who care)

Soon he meet people of the local civilization and learn some of their language, but he soon left this country after find no worthly opponents in this land and headed into barbarian terrority.

There he got himself lost in its enchanted forest and almost die. But he got saved by a young travelling druid who offered to lead him out but on the condition he serve as his bodyguard against wild beast and bandits. And he was happy to repay his savior.

Travelling with the druid, he learned more about the new land he was in and how different the culture was from his own land. And by the time the young druid reach his destination in the Highlands of Northwestern Windariam kingdom, Nobutsuna had already lost his will to look for a good fight and settled in a small village and take to farming.

However, the Windariam Civil War soon broke out, after the Crown prince fled to the Highland district after defeat in battle, Nobutsuna was recruited as a sword instructor to train the prince's new army.

During the long war that followed, Nobutsuna hone his skills in Battōjutsu and trained a number of noted swordmen in the Prince's Army

His part in that war was minor compared to the others of the same rank, as the prince didn't want a foreign warrior to lead his troops in a civil war. He mostly served as the bodyguard of the chief advisor who happened to be the young Druid who had previous saved him.

He played a more important role in wars that followed, when he was recalled to the frontlines as highly skilled runic swordmasters, know as the Espada, from the opposing nation proved to be a major headache to the Windariam Army. (Well they were modelled after the Jedi knights so just think what a headache they will be against army using medival weaponary)

He soon became the sworn enemy of the Espada after defeating and killing a number of their grandmasters in the wars. Of the 29 Grandmasters that fought in the wars, 21 died by his blades, and an unaccounted numbers of normal masters and their apprientices. And this was when he perfected the skill of using "Qi" as opposed to the Espada's runic swords

For this achievement, he was bestowed the title of Sword saint, or Kensei in Nobutsuna's language. After the wars, he decided to set up his own school of swordmanship where he continue to train Windariam military officers and normal students.


~Side notes~

He threw his "Makoto" headguard into the sea when he was exiled, but he kept 2 katanas which was gifts from the Emperor.

His original armor was in bad condition after he took out the golden thread and exchanged them for food when he first landed on the foreign land. It was repaired after the Windariam civil war

He cut his long hair after they keep getting caught in the tree branches

He was presented the light blue long coat for his contribution to the Windariam Empire, and he fought hard to repay his adopted country. (Blue long coats used to be worn only by royalities in Windariam, the Prince's decision to bestow such honour to his men won him alot of loyality points.

He begin to heavily utilising Battōjutsu in duel as a technique to swiftly cut down an opponent in battle. But he still bring a lot of katanas out into battle.

While he is also very experinced in leading troops, he was not usually given command. The only instance when he was given command was when there were no experinced oficers to lead a newly form Imperial Guards.

~Some personal notes~
Since this was a redrawn character design of a previous design, I decided not to cheat and gave both design the same number. Kinda fun doing these two pieces considering that Rurouni Kenshin was once my favourite manga.

And he is named after a historial swordman, so please don't be confused, the historial one is a bald swordman.
