Monstrous storm, loads of lightnings, amazing performance. Taken from balcony, i wish i could take some better composition but, this beauty is dangerous.

Dangerous indeed! Such power should be respected, but even with the composition it's a lucky and pretty good capture (:

Your photo title makes the image seem as if it's comparing nature's energy to the street light that also happens to be in the picture

I really like this image and with the blown out light, it looks like there is a connection between the lightening and telegraph pole, as if it struck the cables and blew the light :)

It's a beautiful shot, very nice colours as well.

I notice you have a fairly short shutterspeed, was this then a lucky sjot, or do you have a methdo to predict when lightningbolts appear?

Thank you ;) no i have long shutterspeed and high aperture so i have few seconds to capture it...

Wow! How did you get the photo? I've never figured out how to photograph lightning

:iconlucfreeas:
LuCfreeAs Featured By Owner Dec 4, 2011
you have to use tripod, then set high aperture about F9 - F 11 or even more. you can use aperture priority mode on camera. this will give you few seconds when you are actually shooting one picture.so if lightning appears in this time..you got it ;)

cool! I'll have to try that sometime. I was envisioning trying to take the picture in the split second that there was lightning...haha
