Hi, I'm Lucas Gibim. Welcome to my Deviantart page.

I’m a concept artist, VFX artist, 3D modeler, illustrator, fine artist and graphic designer, graduated in Industrial Design and Physics Bachelor, and post-graduated in VFX (Visual Effects), my main themes being space art and sci-fi and futuristic art.

Currently my work is focused on concept art, and a like to use environment design, and character and vehicle design, well as so matte painting, photobashing and VFX when is possible, to get better the projects.

Fine artist since I was 6 years old, when my interest in space art was born, I seek inspiration mainly from Carl Sagan's books, such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate and another movies, games, animations and series about sci-fi. Interest in Space Art led me to IAAA.org (International Association of Astronomical Artists), which I am a member of.

"Space Art" is the term used to define a style of contemporary artistic expression that strives to show the wonders of the Universe. Like other genres, Space Art has many facets and covers realism, impressionism, digital art and canvas painting, sculptures and even abstract images.

I've been an artist since I was 6 years old. My taste in astronomy, paleontology, archeology, geology and related subjects also started in childhood, influenced by sci-fi films like Star Wars, Star Trek, Stargate and more! I have as an idol Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov and so on, where the illustrations in the books of these writers and science authors inspired him in his interest in space art and, consequently, in knowing IAAA.org, the International Association of Astronomical Artists! I am also a member of IAAA.org, due to my internationally recognized talent in space art.
