Drew this the first week of Ooctober, and colored it this week end. I like the design, and since I drew it we learned he would be in the next Uncanny Avengers book and roster. Beyond exciting. Loved to channel the Liev Shrieber in him (the guy who played him in the first Wolverine movie).
Go to my Tumblr for the steps of the work, including the pencilled version.

Very Nice! Shrieber was an awesome Sabertooth imo, probably one of the highlights of Origins. I'm pretty psyched about the new roster too, I was wondering if it would be alright to share this image and your Wanda one on a UA appreciation thread I frequent? I'd be happy to post a link to your gallery; here's a link to the thread:

It's a nice place to chat about the series and we're always happy to have new people.

Yeah, sure, you can do that, just make sure that, you know, they're aware it's MY art lol And Shrieber may not have nailed the look (at the time, now he fits pefectly lol), but he nailed the personnality IMO. And thanks for the compliments :) I love the new Uncanny Avengers roster too, mostly for the twins reunited, but also because Victor will have more spotlight, away from the shadow of Wolverine. It will be interesting, actually, to see how he handles not having to torture Logan for eternity ^^

Don't worry I will man.

I thought he was much better then the first guy, Sabes just snarled not much else. It will be interesting to see how RR writes a heroic Sabertooth. One rumor I've heard though is down the road that Sabertooth will be replaced by X-23, I'm a big fan of her character so that would be neat.

It will be weird to see Creed doing something else with his time.

Oh and BTW, I have an Uncanny Avengers cover coming today, I think you'll like it. Will post it in a couple of hours or so :). It features the whole new roster minus Brother Voodoo.

Yeah I read she would replace him as Wolverine in 6 on 9 months, so there is time. And she'll replace him as Wolverine, she way not replace him in the team. And yeah I think Creed spent so much time hating on Wolvie that he didn't do much else. Now I understand he will be a "good guy" with a "conscience", but I hope he won't become just like Wolverine, and that he will stay a jerk and a creep. It will be interesting indeed. I really can't wait for this book.

It's just a rumor at this point but it would be interesting to see imo. I agree with you 100%, no point in getting rid of Wolverine if they're just going to turn some other character into a carbon copy of the character. One thing I have to say is freaking love Creeds new uniform, would love to see Wolverine wear something like when he's brought back, always thought the brown/tan coloration was more appropriate then the bumblebee one. I can't wait either :)

Totally agree about the costume. I get the blue and yellow when Wolvie hangs with his x-buddies, but on his own ? The blue seems just off to me. Brown is much better. More animal. And Creed is certainly that, lol an animal ^^ And let's not talk about bringing Wolvie back just yet please, we know he will be, but let's enjoy the time hei sn't here. Once upon a time he was awesome, and then they turned him into a former killer in denial of himself who gives lectures to others when it's really not his place. ^^

The problem was they tried to make him be everything; they tried have him be the team executioner and a morality figure. At best it looks like inconsistent characterization, at worst it looks like he's a hypocrite. To me Wolverine at it's most basic should be the story of someone who strive to atone for past wrongs by struggling a better man. That got lost a long time ago I'm afraid, maybe his time in the afterlife will do him good. In the meantime it'll be interesting to see how the marvel universe struggles with his absence.

I don't know, I was never a fan of redemption stories. I know a character has to evolve, but to me he works better in the shadows, as a rebel with a dark past and weird motivations. The guy that appears 5 minutes, makes the public laugh while creating a mess around him, and goes away. Just my opinion. He should only have his own book, and if he appears in other books, it's as a supporting characters, not a leader. He is the guy that tells the truth nobody wants to hear, not the guy who gives you lectures on how killing is bad when it's in his very nature. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I perceive the best version of the character. Not to say he has no morals, but just that he is shady. Which makes his relation with Creed even more interesting. He hates Creed because Creed is his possible future. He is on step away from becoming Sabretooth and he hates it. He should struggle struggle with the beast inside him, but never be in denial of it. It's a part of him, for better or worst.

Rant over lol
