As far as I know, there aren't plant remains from Candeleros Formation. Ephedra was already present in the early Cretaceous of Argentina, and since this genus is present in arid environments I thought it wasn't an inaccurate choice. Early angiosperms are found in older strata of the Neuquen Basin too. The conifers are generic and if they where present they weren't numerous to begin with, since the landscape was mostly dunes. Keep in mind that I'm depicting a wet area of the formation, kinda like an oasis.

My opinion on oral soft tissue is that it's a debate that won't be resolved (at least for now). In this specific case I think that since Saurosuchus is quite close to Crocodylomorpha I wouldn't be surprised if they lacked lips, so I went with that hypothesis. My dinosaurs are liped though.
