Steampunk 4: Aristocrat

Number 4! Breaking away from the mainstream trends within steampunk for a moment, I did Aristocrat style with a short, layered skirt of navy blue and sheer brown. Sheer (with the exception of lace) isn't very common in steampunk, but I liked the way it looked here. Navy and brown is a kind of weird mix, but I think it turned out nice.
This is the picture I used to do my tutorial, which is still in progress. It was ideal b/c I got to cover the way I do sheer layers, adding patterns, and using "stamp brushes". I also covered the coloring for the feather and how I do cameos (which isn't exactly a fantastic technique, but it works). So it was a really good choice.

I picture that jacket being velvet, and I want it. Really bad. >.<;
