"Ruach" is Hebrew for "spirit," "breath," or "wind," and I took my inspiration from the second line in Genesis, "the spirit of God swept over the waters." In Hebrew, all the words in the Old Testament for the spirit of God are in the feminine gender. That is why I made the image female.

We have this hanging in our front hall. I think it irritates Some of the Southern Baptists in my wife's family.
