So i've been doing a lot of contemplating on the subject of world peace lately, talking to friends and family members and gathering different opinions. So after all this though, I've come to a definite conclusion that world peace wouldn't work in the society we currently live in, especially after the last century which was named the bloodiest century yet. Plus, if you look at the way wars have come about, it's all comes down to pride and stubbornness, which is a part of human nature i suppose. In any case, with the way things have gone up until now, i have very little faith in the possibility of ever having world peace, but hopefully, i'll be
i remember hearing of a time when the word 'love' actually meant something. it carried deep-seated emotion, and was never thrown around the way it is today. the other day, i agreed to sing a friends' composition for a performance on friday, and as soon as he heard me sing it, he threw a dozen 'i love you's my way. but, had i disagreed to sing, would he still have 'loved' me just as much, if at all? we have misused, as well as abused this word and its meaning to the point where it has no meaning any longer. i can't even tell when the real thing is present anymore...but then again, i'm not sure i could in the first place.
Well, it's about 3:30 in the morning right now, and i've just about given up on sleep. I've spent the last 6 hours listening to the song "Everytime", by Britney Spears, so that me and my chem partner can be relaxed while we work...Normally, i would condone listening to music for relaxational purposes. In our case, we got screwed...after hearing this song 95 times, i don't think either one of us will be able to hear it again without going completely nuts. Hmm, and now that we turned it off, and there's total silence, i still hear it playing...how funny, no?
