Here is my animated take on the animated, Don Bluth version of Matilda and I truly hope you enjoy it! -We delve a bit deeper into the Trunchbull’s backstory and why she’s so evil. In this version, Agatha Trunchbull was the daughter of a tough and brave, but brutal and nasty military drill sergeant who was a firm believer in survival of the fittest. From the time his daughter could walk, he trained her to be the perfect soldier and punished her harshly if she fell short of his standards. On the other hand, this training made her stronger and it gave her an edge over any child who dared to bully or mess with her. Miss Trunchbull soon got drunk on the power and became a cruel bully herself, which would only grow worse when she reached adulthood. -Crunchem Hall has much tighter security in this version. The school’s perimeter is surrounded by chain link fences with barbed wire, vicious guard dogs under Miss Trunchbull’s command patrol the halls, and children are frisked by security
