I was tagged by the lovely LornaKelleherArt and decided to take part in the spirit of the season and community fun!

Step One

Make a post to your DA journal. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a ______ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("all I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV."). The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your DA or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

Surf around your friends list (or friends' friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part:

If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use -- do it.

You need not spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf -- to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not -- it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Give, and you might receive. and you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

My Wishlist:

1. As a regular DD Suggester, I'd love to see more comments being left to the artists who receive this very special feature. Tell them congrats or say why you love the art, and just let them know that the wider community also appreciates their work.

2. Let me know about your journal features! I'm always on the hunt to discover new content, but I know I miss a lot of the wonderful features many of you do to help promote yourselves and other artists. I'd be happy to receive a note telling me about a feature, or you can simply link it to the main comments area on my profile.

3. I'd love to receive a drawing of a tiger and girl or maiden and monster. This can be in any style or medium, doodles also accepted!

4. Consider giving someone you love a commissioned painting from an artist you admire. It'll be a unique and creative gift.

5. A Spectrum artbook.

6. More community activities to get non-artist DA members involved, and more activities for DD Suggesters.

7. That George R.R. Martin publishes The Winds of Winter in 2015 or releases a Sansa chapter. It's been nearly 10 years since we left her in the Vale!

8. Making more friendships on Deviantart. I won't bite... hard :)

9. Do check out the Illustrating Westeros series which interviews fan artists and official illustrators of the A Song of Ice and Fire books and its TV adaptation Game of Thrones. Leave a comment, fave a journal, make an artist suggestion, and keep watching for more interesting features and future developments.

10. A personalised journal skin or DA ID.

Aaah, this is a really wonderful wishlist!

6. This is such a great idea. It's actually quite easy to forget sometimes (especially when you're solely a visual artist) that there are many, many members here who actually are non-artists. What kind of ideas do you have in particular? Loving the activities for DD suggesters, too! This is happening at the moment if you want to take part; it's a really wonderful little project, and a step in the right direction to getting people a lot more involved: Community Feature Project: If you could DD...

7. YES. YES. YES. Fellow ASoIaF fan! I'm actually quite surprised that I didn't think to put this on my list, actually. George has been breaking my heart for over the past 10 or so years. I started reading the books just before he released A Feast for Crows; those 6 years waiting for A Dance with Dragons was TORTURE. Every single year I thought the book might be out, and I'd relentlessly check up on his blog every other month or so. I'm so near to giving up on him, I really am! I understand that he has to have a life and all that, but when he keeps saying things like "It's all written out, it just needs to be edited" or "I hope for it to be out later this year" (and then the book is released 2 years later); well, you start to lose a bit of hope. ANYWAY, yes, here's hoping that 2015 will be the year! (and that he'll surprise us all by releasing the FOLLOWING book the next year!)

8. Me too! I don't know anyone at all on a more personal level here (you know, like Skype chatting or whatever), and it'd be really nice to make some new friends, especially because I'm sure we'd have at least one thing common! :D

9. *Cries with happiness* How have I not seen these before?! Let's be friends.
