Decoding Daily Deviations is the series that aims to unlock the secrets of what it took to create these magnificent artworks and motivate others to work towards similar recognition. Each week we will present an interview with one artist who has recently received a DD and have them share the details on that specific piece, relating to their creative process, techniques, and narrative inspirations. If you've ever wanted to know more about a beloved artwork and the talented skills applied to it, this is the series to keep track of!"

“Retired” communicates an uneasy mood with excellent details and rendering. Please, take us through your creative process and tell how the piece evolved from sketch to finished painting.
I started to draw the girl with the idea for steampunk, and I decided it would be better to put someone who contrasted with her, which led to the machine and background."

I usually draw the main character first, and then match lighting, composition, perspective, among other things. It helps with more natural posing and composition as I think sometimes anatomy or perspective knowledge can result in awkward posing."

I would make more details for the girl (accessories, design for dress etc...). I’m also not sure the background looks right because I don’t know what the American central city looks like. I have never been there."
What’s one piece of advice that you would share with other artists hoping to reach this standard of work in the future?
Painting is similar to pictures. The most important thing is how and where to take a nice model. Do not just think about what is on the screen, but think about where the camera is. It will help you to make a good composition."

I want to draw pictures to show to many people, and that means for me to know who likes which one. I am going to upload rough exercises and completed illustrations. Please have fun!"
