NEW EDIT - If you've seen my latest post (www.deviantart.com/loudnoises/… ), I've revisited this list, so I have some changes made to this list. Expect a re-upload of this soon!!

Well, here we are. Another Top 10 meme. This time, it's all about the games. So, let's see what I really love to play. Again from 10 to 1.

10. Spec Ops: The Line (PC, XBox 360, PS3) 'Do you feel like a hero yet?' No other game that I've ever played has left me with such an impact than this game. On the surface, it may be a usual generic military shooter. And I wouldn't blame you for that. But, as the game goes on, the game becomes much, much more than that. I would love to say more about this game, but then I'd be entering spoilers territory and I don't want to do that. The only reason this game isn't higher is how short the game is (about 4 hours) and the fact that there isn't much to the shooting mechanics. This is a game that must be played. Don't even bother with the tacked-on multiplayer. Get past the generic of the first few hours, and you'll discover that this game has a lot more to say than what's its letting.

9. Perfect Dark (N64, XLA) Ah yes. Why aren't there any more FPS games with female protagonists? There should be more of them. And like this 'perfect' game. You play Joanna Dark, a secret agent sent to investigate a corporation who's been making deals with an extra-terrestrial race. The shooting is great, the music is memorable and Joanna Dark stands as one of the greatest video game characters of all time. Now if only the creators of Yooka-Layle created a spiritual successor to this game...

8. The Simpsons: Hit & Run (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, PC) Quite possible the best Simpsons game ever made. This GTA-parody serves up great one-liners, brilliant callbacks for the fans and awesome gameplay. Black vans and bugs with cameras have been surfacing recently, which seems to happen when a new cola called Buzz Cola is introduced. Coincidence? The Simpsons family aim to find out! Along with a fantastic soundtrack and more laughs than I can handle, this game is a brilliant piece of work.

7. The Wolf Among Us (PC, Mac, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PSVita, iOS, Android) You know, I'm starting to appreciate Telltale Games more. This may have been my first Telltale game, but it was a damn good one. Based on the DC/Vertigo comic book series Fables (which I'm more than eager to check out thanks to this game), you are Bigby Wolf (aka the Big Bad Wolf), who must solve a grizzly mystery when one of the Fabled characters is murdered. Teaming up with Snow White, you must track down who is responsible, while getting caught up into all kinds of trouble. Unlike the 2005 film Constantine which introduced me to a DC/Vertigo comics character from the bad, this introduces me to the Fables universe from the GOOD, and that's because of this game. Brilliant writing, fantastic characters (Bloody Mary is quite possibly the scariest villain I've come across. SUCK IT, FREDDY FAZBEAR!) and an awesome soundtrack make this game an unforgettable journey, one I'm more than willing to explore more of in the comics.

6. Wolfenstein: The New Order (PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4) This is what a reboot should do: keep what made the previous games great while adding in new elements that work. In an alternative world, the Nazis have won World War II, and are now ruling the world with an iron fist. B.J. Blazkowicz must team up with what remains of the resistance in order to take down Deathshead and end his reign of terror... while killing many Nazis along the way. It also does a fantastic job of turning characters that you once never cared about and making them believable. It's something that FPS games should do more often with their stories.

5. DOOM (2016) (PC, Xbox One, PS4) Rip and tear! That's all that's needed to describe this game. Another fantastic reboot of an FPS classic filled to the brim with demons, kick-ass weapons (including the Big Fucking Gun) and the most head-banging soundtrack you'll ever hear!!! Even though there's a story here, it's great that you can choose to ignore it if you want. DooM is back... and it's ready to fight like hell!

4. Saints Row IV (PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4) It was really hard for me to decide between this and the third game. In the end, I went with this one because it's more fun. Taking place after the third game, the Leader of the Saints (featuring the best character customization EVER!!!!!!) has now become the President. ( #NeverTrump ) However, it becomes short-lived when an alien attack happens, and plunges you and your Saints into a simulator, where you must fight your way to defeat the aliens. This game is the ultimate definition of insane! From the numerous weapons and powers you can use, this game is a pure blast to play. Just leave your brain outside before you play.

3. Valiant Hearts: The Great War (PC, PSN, XLA, iOS, Android) To Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Activision, stop glorifying war. It's never going to be like how you portray it. If you want proof, play this amazing game. This is, without a doubt, the best non-FPS game I've ever played. The game takes place during World War I, and follows four characters, each with their own story to tell, as they intertwine with each other at various points. I say non-FPS because even though it takes place during a war, you don't get to kill anyone. There's a fantastic series of collectibles in this game that provide information about the collectible in question and how it relates to WWI. I think this game can be used as an educational tool for schools because it teaches so much about WWI more than any documentary that I can think of. Plus... who could forget that heart-wrenching ending? Never has holding down 'D' on the keyboard/moving the thumbstick right shed more tears than ever before.

2. Team Fortress 2 (PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, PS3) You knew this would be on here. It's the online multiplayer game that I love so so much. With its mix of wacky characters, great weapons and gameplay, there's not much to say that hasn't already been said. It continues to grow and last longer than anything I can think of (unless Overwatch beats them).

And my No.1 all time favourite video game is...

1. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PC, PSN, XLA) Yee-haw! It's not just FPS games with female protagonists that we need more of. It's Western FPS games! Until then, this game is the best of the bunch. With great gun gameplay and a great story, this game is the ultimate Western FPS. It was so good, that this became the first game I completed on the harder difficulties. I rarely don't do this, as I feel that completing the single player once on any difficulty is good enough for me. What else can I say? I love this game. And if you haven't played it yet, get your boots a-runnin'!
