I originally created this document in 2022 for personal use, and have since decided to make it publicly available for others who may find it useful. Rather than attempting to absorb everything at once, I highly recommend approaching it selectively; focus on the sections most relevant to your current project and build outward from there. She always crosses her arms. It took me a while to figure out, that she is not trying to hug herself. That would have been too obvious, wouldn't it? I mean, no one hugs her anymore, and humans are just as big on hugs as we are. They have their arms, we have our wings. And wings are not only great for flying, but also for hugging. She is also not forming an invisible shield around her, nor is she struggling to preserve body heat. She is being condescending and rejective. That last one isn't a proper words with the humans. On the outskirts of an otherwise bustling and modern city, resided a nearly deserted and ancient relic of the past. An old arcade with the uncreative name of “Xtreme Games” was a popular hangout spot for teenagers that had hundreds of customers a day… 40 years ago. Its reluctance to keep up with modern gaming meant that nowadays, it was lucky to get 50 customers a week. Most people suspected that the only reason it hadn’t closed down was due to money laundering. It was a place that most people had forgotten about. But not all people. Some people visited the arcade every now and then, sometimes out of boredom or sheer curiosity. But most people that showed up were nostalgic adults trying to relive their childhood. Even if they first visited the arcade well past its prime. For example… “Damn it!” A soft, high pitched voice said in reaction to losing for the fifth time in a row.
