So let's examine my past "comic" mistakes.
Blind Love: Revolved around romance, harem, and it was very trope-y. It was inspired by Mystic Messenger, and the characters make me want to die. It was also on paper, which was a mistake. (Turning it in for a school assignment was also a mistake)
Mind Games: No romance, all madness, on paper, inspired by some other anime I never watched. It was also a school-based comic, which is poor because school manga would also involve actual education. The protagonist was a pain and the base was crap.
That Other Deviantart Comic: Literally no plot. It was 67% Adventure Time.
Note: All of these were like a shiny, new idea with no real direction or plot or preparation and just poorly drawn in my opinion. The two on paper was a poor choice because no one could read it on paper. The protagonist was also very mary-sue feeling and just very boring and controlling.
L'art De L'amour Notes:
For those who. . . haven't noticed I've been publishing a new comic who hopefully will fulfill my 4th grade dreams of becoming a manga artist. It's The Art of Love, or L'art De L'amour.
Summery: Belle Antoinette De La Fontaine is a very socially awkward artist living in Paris with the magical ability to bring her works to life. Jack "Pomme" Appleton is an assassin sent from an American assassination headquarters to kill her (under government belief she is dangerous). But alas, he fails and they become best friends. I plan for it to involve romance, dry humor, violence, magic, and some kind of emotion.
I heavily projected myself onto the main characters so like. . . relatable.
Also it will transition between French and English because that seems more realistic to me in a situation in a place with French-speaking people and an English-speaker who's terrible at French.
I've been plotting this series for months so unlike the previous "comics", there is a real plot and actual thought in it.
And it's very slow going because I'm all by myself and school takes up a good chunk of my time.
It would make me a happy duck if you read it on either Deviantart or on Tapas and gave nice feedback.
