Three Loves Had She

After who knows how much work…..I’m finally posting this! The poem below I wrote to go with this piece. It’s not brilliant, but unfortunately my brain was burnt out from an exam I had just finished. So don’t be too critical, lol.

"Three loves had she, that gentle soul,

Three loves that would never stay.

Piece by piece they stole

Her light, her flight, her bloodied

Broken heart, her shell left empty, to decay.

She pined, she cried, she wished to die

But cursed was she with pain

And knowing hope a lie.

Three loves had she, that broken one

Three loves that went away.

But with her blood their fates begun

Three hearts to be rent and torn

Bloodied and broken, they’d flee in vain someday.

Three loves had she, that desolate soul,

Three loves that will now forever stay.

Their hearts may shrivel and pine with hers

But hanging in her room,

They shall never again betray."
