The Dictionary Skin Contest

The deadline has been extended by 2 weeks due to lack of participation. The new deadline is June 4th

Are you interested in winning a 3 Month Premium Membership and 1,000 points? Do you have awesome CSS skills?

dA-Dictionary is looking for a new journal skin. While our current skin is really awesome, it feels more like "devWEAR" than "Dictionary."


The base of the skin should look like a page in an old book, light brown/off-white.
Headers, titles, and links should be the same colour.
The overall feel of the skin should be like when you open an encyclopedia. (Think waay back to when you had to use them in school and you could only find a book from 5 years ago in your school library.)


You must be a member of this group to enter.
All entries must be submitted to this folder. Entries not submitted to that folder will not be accepted.
All entries must be fully coded skins ready to be installed on a journal. If the skin is not fully coded, it will not be accepted.


There will be only one Winner for this contest.
The Winner of this contest will win a 3 month Premium Membership and 1,000 points. _{Should the winning entry be a collaboration, the prize may be split as 2 one month Premium Memberships and 500 points each (for 2 winners), 2 three month Premium Memberships and 182 points each (for 2 winners), or a split of the full points value of the 3 month Premium Membership and 1,000 points.}
The Winning entry will be used as the main skin for the Dictionary Entries.
All entries will be featured in the Dictionary Contests gallery folder.


Entries will be judged by lost-angle and namenotrequired
Entries will be judged based on effectiveness as a Dictionary Entry skin and how well they've met the specs laid out above.


Entries are due in by May 21st June 4th.
