I've been uploading art on the other sites I'm on and thinking about this for a long time, but I think I've finally had it with DeviantArt. Their response to the beginning of the genocide in Gaza was genuinely disturbing; all of the 'pray for Israel' art being spotlighted while 'alternative narratives' were 'not accepted'. I didn't come here to be censored or complicit with the genocide of those in Gaza. The murders of members of Doctors without Boarders, children, families, artists, neighbours, every flavour of person ruthlessly and openly killed. South Africa has made a statement to the UN seeking intervention, declaring the genocide. Did DeviantArt staff ever apologize? Or is this a website run by Zionists who have turned their backs on their faith and history? If so can someone provide a link? If not then yeah, in a week or so I'll post that journal for links elsewhere and well... I don't know if I'll mothball this account or just leave it as is.

Deviantart's latest... decision has made it clear staying on this site and keeping my artwork here is not safe. The whole having to opt out for each image for the AI mess is exhausting and frankly gross. "They didn't say no" is not consent. I've been here long enough and relied on community resources here long enough that this actually bums me out. But maybe this is just another thing to let go and put to bed.
