The remains of Helmsley Castle in the North York Moors National Park in northern England. I see this as more of a landscape now than an architecture shot as it really feels like it is now at one with its surroundings.
Excellent capture! 😮
All things return to the earth in time.
very nice and cool
The castle may be eroding away but the moat / ditch still looks pretty impressive!
It's daylight, but I expect the ghosts to come out at any moment!
Amazing picture, great shot
Is that a drawbridge and a mote? If so, how did it drain?
It either drained away naturally over the hundreds of years or it was drained to make it safe.
The sky fits the mood of the subject.
Beautiful. No other words needed.
I love how you captured the ruins and their surrroundings, the old bridge, the former moat - it's just perfect!
Great mood and subject, well captured!
What a beautiful capture!
Wonderful frame composition - Great shot.
