Listening to ice cracking by LordLJCornellPhotos Listening to ice cracking by LordLJCornellPhotos
Looking towards Buachaille Etive Mor  (the herdsman of Etive) which is at the head of Glen Etive on the approach to Glen Coe in the Scottish Highlands. This is one of the most iconic views in this area and never fails to excite me.

Very beautiful! I like the vibrant warm colors against the snow and the blue sky. Those purplish tinges in the distant mountains are also very pleasant.

I love this, to look at. Snow is not my thing which is why I live in Florida which is warm/hot year round.
Still, it is beautiful.

Interesting comment. Nor me.But if he's out there ,. .watching us both, I hope he or she feels a compassion for us, for our mutual love of our beautiful earth and our passions for loving it, and recording it, so we'll remember our favorite places ! A hug for you.. .

Fantastic Lawrence! I like this composition better than in this one: The Highlands Swelling Blue by LordLJCornellPhotos The sun also seems to be much lower, giving this frosty image more warmth. What a capture. :)

I guess I can be in " The Lake District" where there are some big hills in about 5 hours
To get to the Scottish Highlands is about 8 hours
To get to Skye is 12 hours
Not too bad really
