Lucky you. How far from here are you? I live near London so I just get up,to Scotland and Skye as often as I can.

We just moved to Ballachulish from South Africa six months ago.  It is all quite new to me, but Glencoe is just a five minute drive away.  I never seen London.  We are still hoping to make a trip there some time this year.

Wow. That's quite a move. Are you Scottish?
I Love the bridge there even though it's quite industrial.
I love that drive round Loch Leven
Frankly I prefer where you are to where I am.

No I am South African.  My husband's grandfather was Scottish and so we were able to come here and bring our son.
I love the drive around Loch Leven as well.  So far my favourite drive year is Glen Etive.

Yes, Glen Etive is lovely. Just don't get out of the car in the summer. The midges are a nightmare down there. My trips to Scotland are now usually winter ones, or Autumn.
Yiu have to go to the Isle of Skye too :)

The midges where the first predators we met when we came here.  :-)  They are horrible.  We are hoping to go to Skye before August.

When I was standing here I was thinking I had never seen it looking more beautiful before. I have been here many times and I love this place but on this day it almost made me stop breathing.

Beautiful and barren, so different from here, and so ancient looking.  Wondering how many more you have hiding away and have yet to share.

It was an awesome discovery when I stumbled on it for the first time. I threw a left on the way up when I was looking for a place to sleep and never came out for days. Particularly alluring was the loss of mobile signal. ;)
