History of the Cherons
The Progenitors    It can be reckoned that naturally occurring sapience is extremely rare in the universe and their extinction is inevitable, even for those who have advanced to the point of being able to escape the own destruction of their homeworlds.  These ancient species may continue to develop in knowledge and in power, often fusing themselves with their technology to expand their lives and withstand the rigors of space travel.  Rarely do they encounter other sapient species, and when they do they often come into conflict with each other.  They may uplift the animals of other planets, and either exploit them, or use them to leave a leg

The Urcheron
There are a few non-cheron prehistoric species who were given Cherraah, by the Sekas, and later taken in by the Cherons.  These creatures are collectively called “Urcheron” and are used by both the Tyrannians and Ssarquoy as little more than pets or slaves.  They are mute, only semi-sapient, but are able to follow and carry out orders. They are viewed by the Tyrannians as only slightly above humans.  Urcheron come in the form of various ornithischians.  Native to the Tyran are Urcheron gorgonopsids, many of which live independently in highly organized packs.
