Possible Origins(?): Natalia Bertinelli's exact year and location for her birth of is unknown, as is who her parents were. It has been rumoured that Natasha was somehow related to the last ruling czars of Russia, but this rumor was never proven. Though she was soon raised by her uncle's family the Bertinelli Family, an infamous crime family in Russia, when Natalia was a child, her aunt Maria had fallen in love with a mobster of a rival gang, Santo Cassamento. Knowing that her husband Frank would never agree to a divorce and seeing no other way to live her life with Santo, the two hatched a plan to murder Frank and flee with the children. However, Cassamento betrayed Maria and used the opportunity to murder the Bertinelli children as well, with the aim of wiping out the Bertinelli lineage. Natalia survived by hiding under a table during the attack, while her uncle's family were killed. She was taken in by a Russian soldier Ivan Petrovitch, and that he watched over Natasha for her entire life, remaining by her side as her "foster father". Natasha as being raised from very early childhood by the U.S.S.R.'s "Black Widow Ops" Program in addition to Ivan Petrovitch's care. Petrovitch was said to have taken her to Department X, with 28 other young female orphans, where she was trained in combat and espionage at the covert "Red Room" facility. There, she was bio-technologically and psycho-technologically enhanced; an account that provides a rationale for her unusually long and youthful lifespan. In this account she never really trained in ballet in the Bolshoi Theatre, having instead been implanted with artificial memories of doing so. The Soviet government intelligence (KGB) decided that Natasha and Alexi's skill sets would make them superb special operatives, and split them up while Alexi was away on a mission. Trained as the Red Guardian, Alexi became the Soviet Union’s answer to the United States' General America (Captain America x General Glory). Natasha was told that her husband died in an experimental rocket crash. She was drafted into the KGB and became their best operative, becoming excellent at fighting and information gathering. During this time she had some training under the (Winter Soldier x Anyone from DC) and they started a secret relationship. After an incident during an assassination operation, (Winter Soldier x Anyone from DC) was deemed unstable and put in cryostasis whenever he wasn't needed for a mission, leaving Natasha devastated when she found out. She soon left the group and went into hiding taking the name Huntress Widow and she soon ended the lives of Mandragora and the assassin who murdered her family. She and Green Hawk (Green Arrow x Hawkeye) worked together to face off against many heroes but she soon decided to be a hero. As she helped Night Claw (Wolverine x Batman) and his family in various situations as she worked as a close ally to the group. She later joined the Justice Avengers as a member of the group.
