Description
Pandora Eris Sparkle
"Feel like stirring up a little trouble, dearie?"
Parents: Twilight Sparkle, Discord
Species: Draconequus/Female
Build: Tall, Weasel-like
Special talent: Magic, mischief
Occupation: Witch
Nickname(s): Pan, Panny, Dora, Discord Jr., Princess Sparkle the Second
Personality/Background:
Cunning, self-absorbed, and eternally up to no good, Pandora is the star of our show. Like her father, she is compelled by an inner force to cause mischief and fan the fires of chaos among ponies, whom she tends to view as playthings. Ultimately though, the most chaos tends to fall upon herself, as she is absurdly powerful, but her grand plans for spreading mischief don't tend to be the most well-thought out, and often lead to blueberry jam explosions and rainstorms made of trout.
Pan plays the part of the cool, rebel princess of Equestria, but is secretly quite insecure about her purpose in life. Is she meant to be a true, noble princess among ponies, like her mother, or is she supposed to sow disharmony, like her father? Pan often feels caught between two completely different worlds, and struggles to find her sense of true identity and self-worth. This was compounded badly by bullying in her youth. Pandora wears a mask of cool irreverence to hide a number of self-esteem problems. She works as a witch for hire, helping ponies with problems through the use of magical contracts, spells, and potions. As a witch, she's a giant ham and loves dramatic presentation (making her eyes glow, creating smoke, making her voice echo to spook the ponies asking her for a spell).
Despite her trickster nature, Pan has managed to acquire a number of friendships, and she cares deeply about the ponies close to her, even if she has to be pushed to admit it. Pan is devoted, brave (most of the time), kind (most of the time), supportive, and at her core, she is very much the daughter of Twilight Sparkle. That's a good thing, no matter how hard Pan would deny it.
Relationships:
Pandora adores her father Discord, and has been a complete and total daddy's girl since the day she hatched. She constantly challenges him to magic duels (she's never once won, to Discord's amusement) but it's mostly a ploy to get his attention and approval. The two love to spend afternoons spreading strife among mortals, dropping water balloons on unsuspecting nobles, having tea in alternate dimensions, or taking cat naps in patches of sunlight.
Pandora's relationship with Twilight is complicated. In her youth she looked up to her mother and aspired to be just like her, and loved listening to her mother's lectures on magic. As a teen, Pandora noticed how respected and beloved her mother was, and sought to gain that for herself (at the time she was a lanky awkward bullied noodlecat thing), so she asked Twilight to train her to become a princess. Twilight was delighted, and their study together began at once, spanning over about two years, until at long last, the day of Pan's coronation arrived. And Pan was so excited and proud as her mother placed the tiara on her head...but the tiara didn't bring with it any flash of insight or self-acceptance, like Pan thought it would. And worse...the ponies watching the ceremony were whispering among themselves, and Pan caught the same ugly, muttered words she'd always been called, "freak", "monster", "not a real princess"...It's too much, and Pan runs away to have an emotional breakdown.
When she does reappear, she's dubbed herself the "princess of mischief", taken best friend Cupcake as a minion, and rejected her crown. Pandora doesn't blame Twilight for the failed coronation, but deep down, she feels persistent, nagging guilt that she is a complete disappointment to Twilight, and failure of a princess. This makes her interactions with her mother...tense, and she doesn't visit Twilight much. Twilight misses Panny very badly.
Pandora sees Spike as an adopted older brother, and her "BBBFF". They're very close and share practically everything-comic books, fire breathing contests, secret crushes, etc. Pan has a worse relationship with her cousin Skyla, who views Pan's mischievous tendencies and decision to quit being a princess with immense disdain (and possibly jealousy). Pan's other cousin, Flurry Heart, secretly approves of Pandora's decision to pursue freedom.
Pandora's very best friend in the world is Cupcake, who she started following around like a puppy after Cupcake defended her from a pack of bullies as children. Pan adores the little earth pony, and Cupcake is immensely loyal to her idiot noodlecat bff. When Pan decided to train to be a princess, Cupcake trained for two years to become Pan's royal guard. Later, when Pan's coronation fails, Cupcake becomes Pandora's devoted minion in spreading mischief and magic.
Oh, and Pan has had a monster crush on Cupcake since they were both eight years old. Pan is too scared to tell Cupcake because she doesn't think somepony as amazing as Cupcake would ever love a...well, freak like herself.
Pan also adores Cupcake's younger siblings, PB and J Sandwich, and views them as surrogate siblings. PB has had a crush on her for a while now, and while Pan thinks it's sweet, she just sees him as a little brother.
Pan's closest friend besides Cupcake is Aerostorm. As children, the two would wrestle and play together like puppies until they curled up exhausted for a nap, and their friendship has never lost that playful quality. Pan is friends with Rosemary through Stormy, and sometimes has her make-up done by Magnolia May.
As a teenager, Pan dated Bruce. It didn't end well. Today they claim to hate each other, but they do have the potential to become snarky friends someday. Pan also dated Princess Iridescence for a while, and the two remain close friends, happy to relax around each other.
Growing up, Pandora was close friends with Trixie's son, Moondancer. Moondancer's jealousy over her magical ability eventually tore a rift in their friendship. Pandora enjoys teasing him over their "rivalry" and doesn't take his attempts to magically defeat her very seriously, often lazily dodging his blasts until Moony tuckers himself out.
Special:
-Pandora was brought into creation the day that Discord decided to spontaneously lay an egg at the breakfast table, right in Twilight's bowl of cereal.
-Besides English, Pandora can speak seventeen languages, all badly. She is very, very powerful, much more so than the average unicorn, but not as experienced as either of her parents, so her spells sometimes blow up in her face.
-Pandora has an uncomfortable fixation with chickens. They make her drool, and if she sees one she'll drop whatever she's doing to chase, pounce, and cuddle it. She has a much beloved pet hen of her own, Henrietta. She had a beloved pet giant centipede named Jeff as a child, who was tragically killed one day when Twilight accidentally sucked him up with a vacuum cleaner. It took Pan a long time to forgive her mother for this.
-Pandora is omnivorous and supplements her diet with fish. Her favorite treat is sushi cupcakes (invented by Cupcake).
-Pan is terrified of thunderstorms.
-For undercover chaos, Pan sometimes shapeshifts into her pony form, Hijinx: She enjoys shapeshifting as a whole, typically taking the forms of predators, like a lioness or a snake, but sometimes shapeshifting into a chicken or gerbil just cuz
-Pan doesn't make pony noises (like whinnying), but she can growl, hiss, roar, and purr (especially if you give her chin scritchies). Like a cat, she is a good climber, and is super flexible. She can use her own butt as a pillow if she wants.
-Pan enjoys visiting her male counterpart from another dimension, Paradox. They two often have cross-dressing tea parties together.
-A six pointed star appeared on Pan's chest as a teenager, similar to a cutie mark. It glows when she feels harmony. More on it here:

Can I draw my Draconequus OC in the same pose? Or would that be bad? It's the only pose I can think of to show all of his features. (And my pony ocs are basically in the same pose but not as long and noodley lol)
