   Starswirl the Bearded, of House Orion, is said to be the greatest unicorn mage to have ever walked Equestria, and was certainly the most influential conjurer of the pre-classical era. Creater of more than 200 spells, including the elusive amniomorphic spell, Starswirl is widely considered the father of time-based magic, otherwise known as chronomagi. Throughout his centuries-long lifespan, Starswirl traveled across Equestria, lending his skill in wizardry to ponies in need. During this time he took on at least twenty-two apprentices, including most notably Clover the Clever (of House Trefoil) and our own Lady of the Sun, Princess Celestia.

   Starswirl the Bearded was survived by his dear wife, Clover, and their seven sons. His unicorn legacy is preserved through thriving House Twilight and House Lulamoon (Moon, Brightbeam, and Ursa 263).


figured i'd do my take on albus dumbl-er i mean gandal-ah, dear old Starswirl. Have a class doodle i cleaned up. One of my headcanons is that Starswirl is actually a distant ancestor of Twilight, and a great, great, great, great, great, great,great, greeeeeaaat grandfather of a certain other great and powerful, cape-wearing unicorn.
