"You know, this raises a question I've wondered about. How do super-strong hero types keep in the top physical shape? Take Gretchen, for example. She's snapped a heavy steel chain by casually flexing her bicep. Super-strength is a mainstay of her career as a defender. But by that same token, any weight set made for someone with human-range strength would be quickly mangled into scrap if she tried to use it. It's not that she's careless or showing off. Her muscle power is way beyond the limits the weights were designed for. The weight in the background of the comic cover suggests there is some facility/gym/center that caters to the uberstrong types. It not only provides massive objects to be used for exercise, but designs these objects so the person can handle them without resorting to mangling the gear. I would guess this place doesn't advertise in the papers or TV to get new members; word of mouth would seem to be needed to draw in new clients."

Have a look at "The Incredibles" where Bob Parr get a local train yard to serve as his training yard. (cripes, I just got the joke. :-)

"Yeah, I remember that scene. But remember, he was taking a grave risk by doing that. In his America, superhero types are virtual outlaws; they have to maintain a low profile, to avoid public outrage and criminal prosecution. Not to mention the property owner would be able to sue him and his family into poverty for trespassing and any property damage done. The same problem happens with Gretchen. She's working undercover as a cocktail bar waitress (or about as under cover as the skimpy wardrobe will allow). People aren't supposed to know she is an alien protector, defending them from native and extraterrestrial threats. Which means she can't stack three or four eighteen wheeler on top of one another, and start pumping them for a quick workout. Finding a place that caters to megamuscled types would seem to be a godsend."

Yeah...I guess..... but personally there's no special reason why it's there....i thought it would be cool if i added it to the cover.

"OK, gotcha. But it could be a good way of introducing different characters to one another. Say Gretchen is at the gym one day, and a red-haired humanoid female comes in to work out. She's larger than most humans Gretchen has met, but still much smaller than the dinoid. She is astonished to find this smaller female has a level of power rivaling her own! She wanders over to a gym mate, and asks if she knows anything about the redhead. 'Just an occasional visitor, comes in between assignments sometimes. Calls herself Princess Andromeda'..."

Hawt bicep flexing! And the strength that she possesses must be staggering to lift that massive weight behind her.

I'd love to feel those guns! ;)

Well don't mind if I do!

*murrs as he wraps his hands over those peaked peaks and attempts to give them a squeeze...not happening as they don't give in the least*

It's strange that for all the muscle babes I see, there are a rare few that really connect with me on such a personal level. Gretchen just became one of them. That and I especially love female muscle dragons. You should see my character, Pachua, and you'll see what I mean. ;)

Don't be surprised if I find myself wanting to do a story featuring Gretchen, that is if you don't mind of course. :)

Don't mind at all...... Except she's not a dragon......... She's an alien called a "Diniod". And she don't like being called a dragon. (Bad encounter with a Dragonlan...... Long story.)

I'll bear that in mind. Still, the resemblance is quite striking. Is there a bio for her anywhere or is she not established enough for one?
