A photo of the internals of a 1930's-era shortwave radio - with some extra bits thrown in for visual complexity.

Some pertinent data:
Camera: Canon 2.0mp Powershot A60
f:2.8 ISO:100 6sec exposure AWB: on Effect: Neutral mode

The trick to this shot was the lighting. I had to light the inside of the cabinet without revealing the source - while tightly restricting ambient lighting. The sought after effect was one of the working glow of internal components.

Inside the cabinet, I used a string of violet xmas lights wound around the works. Externally, I mounted a spotlight with a 40w bulb behind a metal mesh to diffuse its glow. A green filter on the camera provided the green tint wherever the spotlight overpowered the xmas lights.
