(Hey Paisanos! Before we start, just to clear up a few things. In these stories, Mario & Luigi's last names are Idraulico, and Tari's last name is Bluestreak. Silly headcanons aside, enjoy!)
"Guys! Guys! We have an very important announcement!" The Asian-Australian said as he jumped on the couch next to his older brother.
"That's right guys, the Meta Runner season 2 trailer just dropped on our GLITCH channel, go check it out if you haven't already."
"And, uh, that's it, right, Kevin?"
"I think that's it. You wrote this intro, didn't you?"
"I thought you did. Ah, whatever! Let's just start the video!"
It was another day in the Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi's brother, Mario, was eating spaghetti for breakfast. Spaghetti. For breakfast. There was some things about Mario that Luigi would never understand. As for Luigi, he was reading the daily news.
"Luigi, why are you reading the news?" Mario said, not even looking up from his spaghetti.
"I like to stay informed, Mario," Luigi said in response to his dumb brother "And the newspaper serves just that purpose."
"Nobody reads NEWSPAPERS anymore! Social Media is the REAL news!"
"Really? 300 pound guys posting their dumb opinions from their mom's basement isn't news, Mario."
"Ah, whatever. I'm off to the castle!"
"Meet you there."
And with that, Mario went out the door to meet up with his friends. Luigi would be joining his brother in a minute. Just as soon as he was finished with his papers. What papers? It was a confession of love for none other than Tari Bluestreak.
Luigi had been hiding his crush on Tari for way too long. She had the most beautiful eyes, gorgeous blue hair, and the sweetest personality that anybody could ask for. However, Luigi was too big of a chicken to ask her out. Until today. Today was the day that he would finally ask Tari on a date.
Luigi grabbed his written confession, put it in his pocket, and went out the door.
"I'm the man. I'm the man. I'm the man..." Luigi quietly repeated to himself, trying to boost his confidence, "...I'm the man, I'm the man..."
At the castle, everything was pretty much normal. Mario and Meggy were doing...something. Luigi could never really tell what those two were up to together. Boopkins and Bob were looking at anime girls. Again. SMG4, whose real name was Luke, was making memes on his computer...
...and Tari was playing video games. Alone. Now's my chance! Luigi thought as he walked up towards the girl of his dreams. I'm the man, I'm the man, I'm the man...
"H-Hey, Tari!" Luigi said, now right next to his soon-to-be girlfriend.
"Oh! Hey, Luigi! You almost scared me!"
"I did? OhMyGodI'mSoSorry!"
"No, no, It's okay."
"Oh, phew. Uh, c-could I play some games with you?"
Tari looked surprised, which concerned Luigi, but, much to his relief...
"Of course!" She said, never letting a chance at co-op pass her by.
After a few minutes, Luigi put his plan into action.
"H-Hey, Tari?"
"Yes, Luigi?"
"D-D-D?"
No backing down now.
"D-Do you wanna go out with me?"
"Huh?"
"Do you wanna go out with me?"
"L-Luigi! I never knew you felt that way!"
"W-Well, I do...don't be mad..."
Before he knew it, Luigi was being hugged. By his crush. This couldn't really be happening, could it?
"Of course I'll go out with you!"
The alarm clock was about to go off. But it never did. This...was actually happening! Luigi couldn't help but smile and return the hug. Luigi felt like the luckiest guy alive.
And to a certain extent, he was.
Later that night, Luigi found himself in Tari's apartment. They both decided that they couldn't afford to go out to eat anywhere, so they just decided to play some video games together. After an hour or so, Tari paused the game and looked over at Luigi.
"Hey, Luigi..?"
"Yea?"
"W-when did you start to like me?"
"Well, when I first saw you...I-...I immediately fell in love...There was just something about you, or, maybe it was everything about you...I mean, you're so sweet, and..."
It was then Tari's head started resting on Luigi's shoulder.
"You know, you're pretty sweet, too..."
That comment made Luigi smile. And, before they both knew it, the two lovebirds fell asleep next to each other.
