Guardian's Crusade - The World

Another piece for my Guardian's Crusade redesign project.

The story from the original game is about a boy rescuing a baby dragon, on a quest to return it back home, having all sorts of adventures and twists along the way and eventually saving the world. A classic.

This was the first illustration I did to sort of set the mood and tone of the world. I used the original game cover art as an inspiration. I liked the idea of the heroes looking ahead, far beyond the horizon, catching a glimpse of their destination in the distance. And I also wanted to create this wide open world that they had to travel through in order to reach their goal, sort of like a the journey begins, type thing. I also had an idea that this could be like the starting game splash screen or something lol.
