What are your thoughts on Cara? I've been hearing a lot about it in the past several days. Looks like a lot of people are migrating there because of its no AI policy. Personally I will be sitting this one out unless it seems worthwhile. I'm tired of making new accounts and then abandoning it after 2 weeks. We've seen this before with Vero, Artfol, and a bunch of other art sites that promised to be the next big thing. There was one back in 2012 called Anipan that all the kawaii artists were on, there was a lot of hype because you had to be invited in. If you got in before they went public you were one of the cool kids. (It took me over 3 hours to remember the name of this website because it's gone.) I'm mostly curious about your opinions of Cara so far, pros/cons, etc. Deviantart is kind of an abandoned AI wasteland but I can't bring myself to leave and I appreciate the amazing people on this site who are still sticking around. Thank you, you guys are the best!!!

My May My May wasn’t too bad, I’ve been spending a lot more time doing traditional art than digital. My laptop PC has been lagging a lot more than it used to and I don’t know why. I’m hoping it’s an issue with a clogged fan or something that’s easily fixable. Otherwise I guess I’ll have to take it to get looked at. The lagging issue makes everything really annoying because my computer freezes/stutters every ten or so seconds. Also because it’s so light out this time of year it makes me not want to be at my computer. Also I’m pretty sure my iPad pen died so I can’t do procreate anymore either so that’s cool -_- Adventures in traditional art: Recently started using pumice gel in my paintings. This ~2 minute demonstration video is very satisfying to watch. I’ve been doing lots of experiments and the pumice gel is really cool to work with, plus I love adding texture. I’ve been experimenting a lot with textures in general and did a cool picture of a beach using different mediums. I applied

- My April - My mental health still isn't amazing but I'm doing what I can to stay afloat. Spring is a natural mood-lifter, so I've been spending more time outdoors, and hoping to go outside more in general. Earlier this month I went on a group trip to Chicago. We visited the Art Institute of Chicago, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and various small galleries. I took a lot of pictures and enjoyed all the art! I’m hoping to do a proper writeup of my trip at some point. The other great thing about the trip was spending time with people. As a hermit, this really reminded me of what is missing from my life. I really need to go outside more... ^^; I’ve been working on a painting of some monkeys since January. I submitted it to the student art show. I’ll post an image soon (and I have lots of Works-in-Progress shots too!) I am so, so happy to be included in the student art show. A personal project I am excited about: I'm working on a taxonomy of completion for my art. I rate
