New Lunar Republic Military ID Card Kit

And now for something completely different.

Military personnel have separate ID cards, so I've made a "kit" for you to make one.
It uses 's NLR ID card as a base ( jeurobrony.deviantart.com/art/… ). I went with the elements of the ID cards except for a different bar code on the front.

Now for the question: How do I use it?"
Tons of layers gives me a headache, so I went with something simple. The front and back of the card has the info that doesn't change.To make a new one in Gimp do this:
1: Open the image in Gimp.
2: make 2 new images 1000 X 600 (or slightly larger for working room) with a transparent background.
3: Copy/paste the front to one and the back to another.
4: Copy one of the four service flags at the bottom and paste it in the open area  under "service branch" on the front part.
5: Copy/paste your OC's picture into the white square in the middle. It might take a bit of work to get your image to fit the square (you could also try cutting the white part out and leaving it transparent, then make a 2nd layer with your image and put it underneath so it shows through).
6: Fill out the info areas using the text tool. Jeurobrony used Lucida Sans Semi-Bold on his. I don't have that font so I used Lucida sans unicode which is almost the same (likewise the text at the top of the card is Book Antiqua Bold on his, which I didn't have, so I used Palatino linotype which is pretty much identical).
Save your work and you're done! If you decide to print them out, Gimp allows you to print them any size you want. If you want one the size of a driver's license or credit card: Click print, then the image settings tab, change the size to show inches, then set it as 3.500 X 2.100.
