Looks like the two sides have already had several meetings with a bit of mutual trust, since they are intermixed. If this had been a first time meeting I'd expect both sides to be on opposite sides of the image, each side having an outer ring group watching for other threats, an inner ring group watching over their VIP, and the two VIPs keeping their hands on their weapons, but not yet pointed at the other.
Now I'm curious about the backstory for these two groups. How did their first meeting go, what difficulties were had, fights that both sides got into, cultural problems, and the hard work both sides did to eventually become allies, if not friends.
The locals would be concerned because the humans' gear is obviously metal, which means it can be made fairly quickly. Helmets and armor across the chest indicates that they are primarily concerned with immediately fatal wounds, which tells of a decent medical capability. All of this is non-magical, meaning any wizards in the local group are concerned with the ramifications (no need for them?).
The humans would initially be concerned with how the locals are able to survive with lower tech and think they have the advantage, but the first exposure would cause their group to be careful. They don't know what the limits of magic are (limited times per day, limited types but unlimited usage, imagination and control are only limits, aso), so they are going to be very careful. They are also going to want recon drones to better scout the area to determine the mindset of the locals (innately hostile, cautious, curious, etc). A completely friendly local group might even be more dangerous for the human group, as it means the locals haven't met anything that is a threat to them. This could be due to lack of local predators and comfortable environment, or the locals are just that dangerous.
Both sides seeing weapons on the other might actually relax. This would indicate that both sides have had to be intelligent to create defenses, and both would be weaker without those weapons/defenses. That would also indicate that both sides are capable of planning for the future, they have a decently complex society (at the minimum), and since both sides are exploring they both have a sense of curiosity and preparation.
